This place is the best for dinner, and my go to place to pick up specialties to take to another hosted event. Cookies, breads and so many choices. The bread are often still warm.

I visit here occasionally and every time it is amazingly delicious. Their sandwiches are priced well and the portions are generous. Perfect place for a lunch date. I highly recommend.

A gem of the neighborhood and Harrisburg. Classic Italian bakery and eats. The have daily specials, huge pizza slices and loads of pastries to choose from. Everything we got was great. Really nice owner to top it off.

I’ve been an Alvero customer since my kids (now in their 20s) were little. We’d stop by on Saturday mornings for delicious Italian cookies by the pound. Now I go for their salads and sandwiches, all of which are so tasty. Of course, I still have to pick up a few cookies while I’m there.

By far my favorite restaurant in Harrisburg. Very friendly staff, affordable prices, and the food is amazing! The penne with stuffed meatballs on Thursdays are what get me through the week 🍝

Best food in Harrisburg!

I have been going to Alvaros since they opened the first store. I would give them a 10 if I could. The food and the atmosphere are old-world Italy. And the owners are such good people and have been taking care of customers in a friendly and hospitible way for a long time!! Keep it going, guys!

Excellent service and food.

I was not impressed with a $5.00 meatball in a little piece of hard crusty bread. I'm Italian and I think it could be a better meatball sandwich. Cannolis are not very good. I can make better shells and filling from scratch. I really believe thee ppl that gave them 5 stars has never had real Italian food. Go to ERIE where u can get authentic Italian food on every block.
