It's a bit of a walk to get there but if you're in the area looking for a good beach to take a nap... well here ya go! Service was good, drinks are slightly more expensive but they've got some cool specials on Shark Week and stuff. DJs and food trucks come through there pretty frequently but the minigolf course next door also sells snacks. The view of the river is pretty fantastic too.

I have been wanting to come here, and I was finally able to make it out. If you want to park close, it is VERY limited parking, so in the nicer months, it's probably better to walk up. We rented an igloo for 2 hours on a Saturday night. It was very cozy on the inside once the heat kicked on. You do not have service at your igloo, which would have been nice. However, you do have to go to the bar and get your drinks. My 1st drink, if it was my only drink, would have given me a bad review. However, I had several after that that made up for it. My 1st drink i got a smores martini as it was delicious for $12 bucks. I paid for almost more than half foam. I should have said something but didn't. The bartender was a super nice guy and did make excellent drinks except for the 1st one. The igloo, like I said, was very nice, and when done, they did have outside tables with fire pits to sit around, which was nice. They have a food truck with a small menu, we actually got the soft pretzel, and honestly OMG it was the best soft pretzel I ever had!! The lady deep-fried it, and it made it so crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I for sure want to return in the nicer months with my dogs because it is pet friendly.

We are so lucky to have this place in Harrisburg. Come at sun set for a gorgeous view and the best vibes.

On Friday I was proposed to at the Beach Club and everyone there went above and beyond to make the experience absolutely amazing. From being so accommodating to even videoing the entire thing. I can’t thank you enough for your kindness and hospitality.

What a disappointment. The view is gorgeous, but it was filthy. It's like hanging out in a parking lot. Literally. The food truck was closed and they didn't know why so I can't review the food. It's an absolute shame because it has so much potential.

We were visiting family, as we live in , and went for a drink after a fabulous game of miniature golf at Water Golf (where I got a hole in one @ the last hole!) . It was about 925 pm when we arrived and we're greeted by a super rude female bartender (wears her hair in a high bun) who's first words were "it's last call" then immediately walked away and then began yelling at the DJ to turn off the music. The DJ by the way was playing all the 2000 slaps! The other bartender, with long wavy hair in a pulled back ponytail ended up getting us our drinks. After getting our drinks we sat in the designated area which was lovely and quiet, nicely lit and in front of the water. Before leaving I headed to the restroom just to hear that rude bartender complaining about the terrible reviews that are posted, the irony!!!! They're ABOUT YOU! What I don't get of is how are you going to pick to WORK somewhere where you rely on tips and then not give stellar service aaaaand have the nerve to complain about negative reviews !?!? I wish I had gotten her name so that she would have to take full responsibility for her sh*tty service and bad attitude. If you can't take the heat, GET OUT THE KITCHEN. I'd like to give 1 star just because she screwed it up for others, luckily for her the location, the DJ and ambiance saved the bar. I think it's time for some work reviews and a new bartender. She would NEVER survive the BAY AREA!

Great to see this space being utilized. Food truck had good food. Great music playing. Friendly bartenders. Umbrellas. Nice view.

My wife and I went on a Friday night for a date night and reserved a dome. We were the only ones there that night. It was chilly and cold outside, unfortunately the dome was not warm. We paid $25 for a cold dome. The drinks were not that good and were served in plastic cups. They were made with a bunch of ice and little of the beverage. The only flavor you got was sugar and alcohol. No thought or finesse was put into the cocktail. Sorry, we did not see ourselves ever going back. Way too expensive for bad drinks and uncomfortable atmosphere.

I'll give a star or two because the bartender was friendly and I had no complaints about the service, but this place is really little more than a pop-up bar on the end of City Island. There is SO MUCH POTENTIAL to make something cool with this space. It's tacked onto an old bathhouse, the interior of which is only utilized for its bathrooms -- none of the bar was incorporated into it. Outside of the bar, there were a few igloo-style tents and chairs scattered about on the concrete beach. The seating didn't look intentional; it sort of looked like people had just dragged chairs here and there. So there is no atmosphere to this place, in spite of its fun location. You'd think with a name called "Beach Club", you'd have some sort of theme at the very least but this place really misses the mark. What would make it really cool? Either utilize or gut the bathhouse interior to build a real bar, serve tiki-style drinks, and up the outdoor decor. Maybe have bocce ball or some bean bag throws set up. Or even hammocks, since seating is sparse. Then this place could be a really fun gathering hub before/after Senators games or even off-season.

My dad lives in Harrisburg and every time I visit him from Chicago we make a point of stopping at this cool joint. We love the layout and the staff has always been friendly. They have great drinks and a fun relaxed ambiance. However the food, which we ordered for the first time today, was disappointing at best. They have a food truck on the property and the nachos we ordered were ALL crumbled / in pieces. It appeared they were short staffed, but our food was brought to us and it was FREEZING. The man who worked in the food truck apologized vehemently, but it was ultimately the bartenders fault who ensured us that our food would be delivered to wherever we were sitting. My "chicken sandwich" was literally just ONE chicken tender and a bun (no toppings, cheese, or condiments). Nobody received ketchup for their fries and nobody checked on how the food was when we closed our tab. We'll be back, but we will absolutely never order food.

We had an amazing time with family. They were very accommodating and helpful. From the host to the bartender they made sure we were having fun and taken care of. Will definitely be back. Definitely a must do in Harrisburg.

A gorgeous view on a small island but underwhelming. The bar and beach area looks like it was just a bunch of chairs thrown all over the place. Drinks were cheap and okay. I wish there was just more to it.

Positives: THE VIEWS and LOCATION. Peaceful vibes and a cool thing to do. However, it looks way cooler on IG. Bar service needs help. They are horribly slow and not set up to handle an influx of people. The bartenders seem flustered. If they were smart, they'd have a beer stand with someone slanging quick beers. Shouldn't take 20 min for a drink. The place is filled with cheap amazon outdoor couches that are already worn and used. Other than that there isn't much here except the old infrstructure. The owners are making bank without investing much. Parking is FAR! Someone need to give this place a boost before it goes under. Al in all, it has a fantastic view and great concept but someone cheaped out along the way. Its obvious

I was really hesitant to try the beach club because of the negative reviews. Is the aesthetic so so? Yes. Could there be some more theming? Sure. But it's still a cute place, the drinks are good and the sunset views are incredible. I don't ever find myself making a trip just for HBC but I have stopped by several times after a dinner downtown and really enjoyed it. I usually like to walk the city island loop and then stop at HBC before heading back home.

Today (July 4) was my second visit to HBC; the first was unimpressive but my companion persuaded me to give it another try. I had low hopes since our visit coincided with the city's food truck festival as well as a minor league baseball game. HBC has upped its game and improved staffing since my first visit. We were able to get drinks fairly quickly and sat in a couple of Adirondack chairs under a bit of shade and took in the view. HBC's location is both its strength and its limitation. The views of the river, Harrisburg, abd Wormleysburg are spectacular. However, HBC is at the north end of City Island and the nearest parking is a bit more than a 1/4 mile away to the south. Be prepared to walk! HBC operates a basic bar set uo with beer, wine, and mixed drinks available. Food is available through a food truck on site (which I have not tried). The atmosphere is great and I am cautiously optimistic that HBC has worked out the staffing/service problems I encountered on my first visit. Prices are about the same as most downtown Harrisburg bars.
