Their food isn't very good and does not look or taste fresh at all

Did an Uber eats Oder from this place. Their pics looked great however presentation was horrible. We ordered crab Rangoon and it was so stale that by the time I went for another it was hard and gross. My poor husbands stomach the next day tho. We ordered the lo mein and in the pic it looked delicious but our order was literally just noodles. I even double checked to see if I did soemthing wrong, nope they just screwed us over. I luckily got a refund thru Uber eats. But yeah def adding this place to "Never Eating Again".

Good price, but the food quality is not the good

Very underrated place. Food is always fresh and tasty. A hidden gem to eat Asian food.

Tried Uber Eats and China Max for the first time. The General Tsos chicken was bland, not good at all. The hot and spicy soup was horrible. The wonton soup was ok. Should've read reviews first. Anyway lesson learned. Going to have a PB&J sandwich now.

Horrible. I'd rather starve then eat here!

bad service. rude people who have no business running a restaurant. makes me miss the days of the chinese exclusion act. tasty food nonetheless.

This restaurant in the harrisburg food court is great! I order from this restaurant every single day, its fresh and tastes great! I think the negative reviews are all from before, when they had the other owner. The restaurant has reformed since then. Highly recommended! love the Mongolia beef, and the soups!

Food is great, and people are friendly. They have the best shrimp egg rolls!

Overcharged me, food was cold. Two small plates for over $20. Food tasted old and not fresh.

China Max is in the food court of the Harrisburg Mall. Arguably one of the better options in a lower-end food court. Many other reviews I've found about China Max are poor, but it seems I ordered from them on a good day when items were fresh. Ordered a Chicken and Broccoli combo with Lo Mein. They were both good, the Low Mein had a darker and heavier sauce and was especially tasty. Combo prices are not bad at first, but this is where issues can occur. After they ask about "next size $1 more" or "Egg Roll" or you get a drink, combos can easily go over $10. Overall, food was good, but prices can get too high if you don't pay attention.

Well I didn't find any bugs like a previous review stated, so that's a plus, buuutttt: the pork fried rice tasted like it was at least a year past expiration from a box, and was about 95% rice, and about 5% pork w/ other contents, the chicken in the chicken & broccoli had a strange taste, (not a bad chicken taste, but more of a cheap low-quality chicken taste), the broccoli was ok, and the General Tso's had a funny low-quality taste as well. $8.47 for all, hence the single star, but I'd give it 0 if I could. For a city that's rather populated with Chinese restaurants, you'd really think some of these places would try to be a little more competitive. I used to think that Chinese food couldn't be messed up, though China Max has proved me wrong.
