I like Cracker Barrel. The food is good, and the prices are great. I go with me and my two kids; they're teens, so they eat a lot. I even take the $5 take-home meals afterwards. The staff is very nice, but the only thing I disagree with is when they give you your food. They literally put the receipt on the table. It feels like they're rushing us to go. But that doesn't stop us, lol; we then order dessert and i order take home $5 meals. They have to take back the receipt and adjust it, other than the receipt being given very early.
The staff is nice, and the price is is decent.

Spicy grilled catfish and lemon pepper trout are great. Skip the baked potato because they're always under done. The rice served as part of the Louisiana shrimp skillet was hard and crunchy. The waitress said that's the way it's served. No rice should be crunchy!

Food was hit and miss.
Steak, shrimp and campfire meals were really good. Burgers were very subpar, and we ordered loaded tots and got loaded hash.
Waitress took 10-15 min between check-ins, even when multiple drinks were empty.

Just ate dinner tonight at the Harrisburg Cracker Barrel it was not very good. My mashed potatoes were ice cold.
I ordered country fried steak and supposed to come with white gravy. The steak had the white gravy but the potatoes had brown gravy and the gravy was canned and gross.
I had to turnip screams they usually come in a separate bowl and they came on the same plate as my meal and they barely gave me any.
I asked her extra gravy when I ordered she said she would bring it and she did not.
And I had to ask again. My husband's coffee was ice cold. We were very disappointed.
And it was horrible service.
Some of the waitresses kept dropping cups.and they broke onto the floor then a lady dropped a little container that held the sugar.
And she left it broke all over the floor never came back and a lot of the tables around us were dirty.
We will probably go back but not for a very long time.
I don't recommend that place to anybody right now.

The waiter was accomodating and cheked to see if we wanted to need anything as we te. The ashier was frienly and the employees near and in store made the experience even better

I go there ONE to TWO times a month, every month. Now I find it hard to believe that you only gave me ONE CARROT in my pot stew. A few pieces of celery and did not see any onion. My whole meal looks like LESS FOOD SAME PRICE. If this continues like this. There are other places to go to eat. For I and my girl friend have been coming here for YEARS. To Cracker barrel in Harrisburg Pa. I have places like Texas Road House, Long Horns amongst others. Up to you guys on what your going to do. I'm over 60 and have lot's of friends that all go out and eat. I am just now finding out a lot are going to Appleby's. If this happens again then the ones I listed above is where we are going. And if things are so bad FINANCIALY for you all JUST CLOSE YOUR PLACE and do ALL of US a FAVOR. TIRED OF THIS CRAP

Five of us had breakfast Saturday 15 March. Server was fast, considerate and wonderful in every way. Food arrived hot and just as we ordered. We love the Cracker!
