My first time trying this place and although I waited for the yams these beautiful souls right here hit the spot as I have been searching my whole life in this city for a good soul food spot they are absolutely amazing complements to the chef thanks so very much š

This place is amazing, definitely soulful for sure. Everything was perfect and seasoned like big mamaās kitchen. I was surprised how everything was on point. And donāt get me started on the portions. Iām not usually big on leftovers, but I ate my food for three days until it was done. Itās so cute inside. Itās a vibe for-sure.

10/16 Upon entering this evening, I was greeted. However, The young lady was eating from a bag of chips and utilizing her cellphone and even paying attention to her cellular while I was attempting to order. Also, I prayed she washed her hands BEFORE she handled food/utensils because she was dipping her fingers into that chip bag. I factually know, a restaurant worker is NOT supposed to eat while handling food in a establishment that serves food. They must utilize a break area to eat, store their food and wash their hands before returning to the work station. #1 The decor is very nice, but I'm confused with the gaming machines(not for money payout) inside and LOUD television - they have 2 tv's- one facing the kitchen( which is NOT a good choice) and the other facing the dining area. Is this a hangout spot or a sit-down restaurant to have a relaxing meal? #2 I had vegetables only - potatoe salad was bland - no seasoning, potatoes were cut too large, no mustard, no relish, no celery, no paprika. The yams were WATERY - no flavor other than sugar and maybe hint of vanilla?, the greens were bland, no seasonings - only tasted the heat(maybe hot sauce?) The price was good for the vegetable container size.

I ordered the pork chops, slap n cheese and fried cabbage. My order arrived promptly and hot. To my disappointment the pork chops were huge undercooked drenched in cooking oil. The slap n cheese was overcooked dry and tasteless. The cabbage was overcooked. No condiments or seasoning. Very disappointing.

Best wings I've ever had. The Cajun Honey wings were so good that I ordered a 2nd order to take home.
Visit from out of town and Google soul food near me and this establishment came up as a location near by.
Location: Located in a neighborhood that is quiet but the the outside of the building doesnāt leave much to the eye.
Atmospheres: inside of the venue is very basic, and nothing to write home about. The ac was off in the heat index was like 80 outside and left like 90 inside.
Service: THE. CUSTOMER SEVICE IS NOT GOOD! walked in to the young man at the register sitting there, and when I walked up he just stared at me and didnāt greet me. Didnāt ask me what I like to order. He just kind of just looked at me until I told him what I want it.
Then as I hear people call in that has made DoorDash orders. He placed them on speakerphone and they havenāt received the correct order and he was like oh maybe because weāre out of it they should refund you no apologies. No, how can we correct it it was just straight like they didnāt care.
So when he brings the food out to me and a black bag, he just hand it to you they donāt announce what order it is or maybe he remembers but thereās no thank you thereās no anything and it seems like when you ask for hot sauces or any condiments they get irritated.
Iām big on support and Black on businesses, I run a organization that caters to the African American community and I hate when people stereotype black businesses but theyāre only doing what we allow them to do so they should read these comments and some things are out of their control and some things are in their control. Customer service will get you way more businesses, even if your food is mediocre.
Food: I ordered the pork chops and mac & cheese, well double Mac because they didnāt have no rice, the pork chop was made freshly, but had no flavor. The mac & cheese was not even lukewarm. I must say yeah maybe lukewarm but had no flavor. Also, almost like they didnāt even use salt and pepper. The best part of the meal for me was the hot sauce in the bread.

I hate this place so much they always get my order wrong and never care . The young teenage boy who works at cashier didnāt even have my receipt right !!! I asked for fried fish dinner with greens and yams . And a side of Mac n cheese and seafood salad!! They didnāt even give me my seafood salad and the food is so bad itās disgusting I hate this place!!! They did these with my sides last time too!!
