I joined a friend here a few weeks ago. We hadn't seen each other in a long time, so we sat for roughly 4 hours catching up. Never did the staff make us feel like we were over-staying. He said h is food was very good, as was mine. I got the Bang Bang Shrimp and the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because I am a true fan of the original Bang Bang Shrimp at Bonefish Grille. Gilligan's offer a comparable appetizer, but they aren't quite the same. Aside from that the food, atmosphere, company were quite enjoyable.

Christine was the Best server! Very attentive and kind to our children. We were a large party and our order was delivered perfectly. The food was amazing and the drinks were delicious as well. I highly recommend!! Also; am for Christine!!!

Let’s start with the good and get the good out of the way. First, our server Dillon (sp?) was fantastic and was on top of things the whole time we were there. The food also was quite tasty for all 5 of us.

But in the end, one of the servers ruined the night completely. We had asked to have the ball game put on the one tv by our table. While they were trying to figure out what channel it was on I informed the woman helping that it was on FOX to which she turned and snapped at me, barking at me that those TVs didn’t have comcast on them (like I’m supposed to know that). Thought, maybe she didn’t mean to be like that. But she came back later still trying to get the game on for us (thank you for that effort) and when I informed her again it was on FOX to try and help her find it, she napped me again interrupting me with a very terse “Sir!!” All my time on this planet and working in customer service myself for 30 years, I have never once heard anyone talk down to someone like she did to me. Hands down the most disrespectful experience that I have ever had from a server, especially who wasn’t even my server. Even when I tried to talk to her about it she walked away and was muttering under her breath.

My coworker and I were in town for two weeks on business, and after discovering Gilligan’s Bar on night one, we ended up coming back every single night. That alone says it all.

The staff—Liz, Emily, Nat, and Carly—were incredible. Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel like regulars from the start. Their service made every visit a pleasure.

The food was consistently amazing. The French onion soup was the best I’ve ever had. Steaks—phenomenal. Burgers—huge and delicious. And the crab cakes? Hands down the best I’ve ever tasted.

Gilligan’s became our home away from home, and we can’t recommend it enough. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in.

We went there for a few nights to have drinks and food but will no longer go there because the first few nights they accepted my id, there was no issue with my id when we were spending 100s of dollars on food and drinks at the bar but when I walked in just for a 6 pack of beer my id was not good enough.

The place was pretty busy, which probably led to service being a little slower, but the server was very friendly and professional. Not complaints. I had ordered the crab cakes and I, unfortunately, wasn't very impressed. They really didn't have much Old Bay type flavor and actually tasted a little off.

Ordered the Chicken Chesapeake - the chicken was very tough and food was delivered warm. The crab dressing on chicken was ok. The waitress was very attentive and helpful, and the overall ambiance was nice, but might consider a sandwich or salad next time rather than an entrée.

Whether you are looking for a quiet sit down experience or a nice sports lounge, this restaurant is the place to go. I’ve been coming here for years now and always have a great time. The staff is always friendly, the food always fresh, and I love the quiet, classy atmosphere of the dining room.

I highly recommend the lump crab cakes. They are some of the best I have had; even better than some Maryland crab houses I’ve been to.

Gilligan is great for a family meal. Food is great and varied for almost all eaters. The atmosphere was perfect for conversation and relaxed without being rushed.
