Herby's El Mexicano Restaurant

It's probably some of the best authentic Mexican food in Harrisburg, PA area. The owner is interactive with her customers, and I bought her homemade hot sauce, which had flavor and heat. If you like hot sauce, I highly recommend you ask for it.

Update 05/04/2025 Early Cinco de Mayo Celebration!
We went early, but there was a Mariachi Band coming from Philly, as we were leaving! Some in our group stayed longer!
I had the House Margarita with salt and the Shrimp Fajita! Definitely will order again!

Herby’s is now opened on Tuesdays too, for Taco Tuesday. The added benefit: Herby’s Margaritas for $6.00 each.
We ordered Taco chips with guacamole and salsa. All fresh and tasty.
One person ordered the shrimp Fajita, which was excellent ( see pic of the large shrimps!)
Another friend ordered the Duo Fajita on a sizzling plate, and fresh salad to replace the rice and beans. Both recommended.
The tacos were on Special and a couple ordered the Duo ( chicken and steak) Very tasty.
My choice was the Steak Fajita on a sizzling plate with rice and beans on the side. Excellent and the sizzling plate I highly recommend too!
For me the Dessert was a very pleasant surprise: Raspberry Churros! Absolutely delicious ( see pic)
I met the owner, Maria, who skillfully runs this gem of authentic Mexican food!

I really like this restaurant… especially the salsa. Maria, the owner is very kind and cares about food quality and the happiness of her patrons. Please support this local small business that’s been a staple of our community for many decades.

Very good place the manager is very great. She’s been there for a long long time.

Ordered the chimichangas but it came out more like a burrito. The margarita pitcher was delicious though and a good deal for the price!

Our server was released and she was phenomenal.

The menu was extensive. The servers were very professional handling the large group I was with. They had a large margarita selection and full bar. The food was very delicious. Our group was given our own room.

Parking: Herbey's is a free-standing reataurant with parking directly along the building's side and front entrance.

Kid-friendliness: The group I attended with had a sports team of kids (ages 10-14) and their parents, and the kids were served at their own tables. Very nice.

Wheelchair accessibility: Flat from parking lot into front entrance - one story restaurant, fully accessible.
