Mel's did an amazing job catering a surprise 40th birthday party for us! So easy to work with, fair prices and did I mention the amazing food!??We did the pulled pork, bbq chicken, Macaroni and Cheese, and Green Beans. Most went back for seconds and thirds and raved about the food. See pictures of the Mac and cheese and the drink setup they did for us at the event! Highly recommended them for your event!

This place is the most disgusting, no flavor, warm dry noodles, “baked beans” were just beans, the chicken sandwich the best thing about it was the bread! Don’t waste your money

Mels Rockn BBQ truck came to our neighborhood. I try to support the vendors who take the time to come here. I made the mistake of ordering a cheeseburger with fries. Neither item was even warm let alone slightly hot. the tomato was a thin slice off the end of the tomato. Clearly the burger had been made some time prior to coming to our area and probably microwaved. Okay, I get that and if the taste was there I would not be writing this. It tasted like cardboard. The fries were the worst I have ever tasted. they had a taste I have never experienced with fries. I don't know what oil they were cooking them in but they were not edible. They must have been cooking the fries in wish another item. Nasty! Interestingly , they had the side down so you could not look into the truck as you can on most food trucks. Now my critique only applies to the burger and fries. I did not sample anything else on the menu. so it is possible I chose the wrong items. I am glad I did not tip when he asked if I wanted to leave a tip on the card. I wont be back since I don't feel like taking a chance on the other menu items.

Spent $75 for dinner yesterday on two racks of ribs and 3 of each side for 3ppl. Ribs tasted like they were cooked the day before then warmed. BBQ sauce was not tasty at all. Beans were bland and tart, green beans had to be from a can, but if so could have been seasoned or something, they tasted straight out of a generic can. Mac n cheese was ok, needed more season and cheese. A waste of money, because we still needed dinner after spending darn near $100. I’ll pass the next time the food truck comes to my complex.

Mel’s Rock N BBQ truck was at our local swim club. We decided to try it. NEVER AGAIN. After we got our meals home, while my daughter was eating her sandwich she bit into GLASS.

Just picked up 1/2 rack bbq ribs with baked beans and Mac n cheese, and chicken sandwich with cole slaw and Mac n cheese delicious! So glad the truck came to Baywood Drive Harrisburg!
Was driving home and didnt know what I felt like eating. I saw this truck parked and turned around to try it.

The sandwich was very good. It was tender and their sauce options all have good flavor, but the sides may not be for everyone. The mac'n'cheese is more of buttered marconi with melted cheese on top.

My 1st time trying this at the Broad Street Market. Stopped by around 1:00 p.m.. I LOVE BBQ and have eaten a lot of it. I got pulled pork, a few pieces of brisket, some collard greens, and Mac and cheese. The pulled pork was dry and didn't have much flavor. The brisket was chewy, also kind of flavorless and I've also had better. The Mac and cheese was kind of dry. Not to mention being charged $20 for this food. Not worth the cost AT ALL.
