The staff was very attentive and all smiles, which I hope is because they know exactly how good the food is here. I had the Chicken Chesapeake (delicious). But the star of the night was the side of Collard Greens. I quite literally have never had greens this good!

We went there 7/11/25. food was excellent and the staff were super friendly. I went there with my family for food to go and had drinks while we wait. that catfish and whiting was the way to go for me!!

I had an amazing experience at Men in the kitchen! Not only was the food delicious and full of flavor, but the customer service truly stood out, S/o to the bartender Theresa. The staff was warm, attentive, and welcoming from the moment I walked in for them to be extremely busy. My drinks was bomb (lemon drop).

What really made this visit special was the owner. He was professional, engaging, and genuinely interested in connecting with his customers. He even took the time to connect with me and have a conversation about supporting my business — something you don’t see every day. That level of care and community means everything, especially coming from a Black-owned business.

It’s kind of hit or miss here with the food. Some days its way too salty, sometimes it’s bland, sometimes it’s perfect. My favorite is the seafood bisque, it’s just a really small cup is my only issue with that, and the fried fish is amazing! The atmosphere is nice and it’s a really beautiful place. Black owned also is a plus.The cocktails are mid. I have never had a good cocktail here but over all I will return bc I like the vibe.

Ordered takeout. Was really excited to finally try this place but was severely disappointed.

Even though I got my food to-go, I was scoping the place out to potentially come back with friends. Well, the vibes were not there. I know it’s a restaurant and lounge but merely painting the walls dark does not equate lounge.

I was not impressed by the food especially for the price point: $18 for a grilled cheese and a side. The grilled cheese was supposed to have spinach in it, but they definitely skimped on it. The salmon was generous though, I’ll admit that. I chose the baked Mac n cheese for my side, and it was bland. The photo on the ordering platform makes it look more appetizing and way different than reality.
