As a fellow wedding professional, we LOVE working with Mountain Laurel! Their food is amazing, and the presentation is always top notch! The staff is friendly and professional, we highly recommend them!

In terms of the quality of the food, I would give a 5 out of 5 star rating. In terms of customer service and responses I would give a 2 star rating. The food was cleaned up and taken away from cocktail hour and from dinner much too quickly. As someone (and the bride) with dietary restrictions, this was not appreciated as the food I could eat was taken away without checking to see if I was finished. I specifically requested a mashed potato bar during cocktail hour, and this was taken away before I was able to get a bowl. The head server also denied the request for me to get a bowl. When I brought up my concerns with the service the owner never apologized, made excuses, blamed other vendors, and gaslit me. When emailing with the owner, she called me by the incorrect name and was unaware of the details of my event (I live out of state and this was repeatedly addressed throughout the process of setting up a tasting and meetings, details she claimed she was unaware of by the end of my wedding). Even though I did not work directly with her in setting up and organizing my wedding, she is the owner and should get informed on the specifics of an event specially when responding to concerns and questions.

As we visited the tables at our wedding, our guests spent most of the time raving about the food. Mountain Laurel was incredible. Our tasting was so thorough (and delicious), and no request was too big or too small to make adjustments. We were blown away and so were our guests! The best food and the best team to work with. We will be dreaming about that Tomato Bisque forever!

We chose Mountain Laurel for our caterer at Melhorn Manor on October 5, 2024. The food was AMAZING. We decided that we did not want to do a dry chicken breast and overcooked steak for our wedding meal and landed on the idea of tacos. Mountain Laurel made our vision come to life. They created a taco and fajita bar for us with selected meats and so many different toppings. The tacos were phenomenal. Our appetizers were also to die for. Grilled cheese and tomato bisque shooters, caprese flatbread, steak and cheese eggrolls, and a charcuterie board. We also chose to get our cutting cake and desserts from them, and they were all delicious. The bar service was great too, especially considering we had a large crowd. Mountain Laurel was also helpful in choosing and setting up our China and linens which looked fantastic! We have received so many compliments on our food since the wedding. We have zero regrets about choosing Mountain Laurel as our caterer and would recommend them to anyone!

The food was wonderful but the customer service was the worst! Our bride was denied her favorite food request, buffet setup was taken down and most guest were unable to get seconds even though there was PLENTY of food left over. When our bride spoke with the owner they didn't even apologize and only made excuses. Plus the email exchange they used her wrong first name! I can not ever recommend this caterer to anyone. You only get married once the first time and they made this once in a lifetime event flawed!

Ally helped us curate an incredible menu and they made me feel so safe with my allergies! We had so many guests rave about the food. Everything was incredible and their staff is so friendly and personable. My husband and I were so excited after our tasting because everything was DELICIOUS. We were telling everyone about the bao buns and steak before our wedding. They were wonderful to work with and it was such a great experience!🩷

We had the best experience working with Mountain Laurel for our wedding catering! Ally helped us through many months of planning and curated a menu exactly suited to our tastes. On the wedding day, they absolutely exceeded our expectations - both with the food and service. Our guests literally cleaned their plates and we're still hearing about how awesome the food was! We also had a pretty specific signature cocktail list, and the bartenders made everything perfectly. They kept the food & drinks going efficiently throughout the night and we couldn't be more appreciative! 100% would recommend. THANK YOU!

We had an incredible experience with MLC!! Our guests are still talking about the food from our wedding many months later. (I’m very behind on my review) if they had a restaurant, we’d be eating there every weekend. The attention to detail and commitment to quality definitely puts them high above the rest!

Mountain Laurel Catering catered our teachers appreciation lunch and the food was amazing. The salads were fresh and very unique. The bread was delicious with the most beautiful strawberry/ lemon butter ( it is really good) and a perfect cooked salmon which tasted perfect even after a hour in the warmer. Most perfect lunch I had in a very long time! I would definitely hire them for an event !

Just attended an event catered by Mountain Laurel Catering. I am not a huge fan of catering because the food is usually processed and warmed up. Mountain Laurel was different. I enjoyed the breakfast quiches and fresh fruit for breakfast. Lunch was also very tasty with a fresh salad, fresh bread and chicken breast that wasn't dry as a bone. The best part, the desserts which everyone raved about. Also, the flavored teas were great too. At my next event I will definitely give them a call.

I was impressed by all of Mountain Laurel Catering’s options at first. However, after booking with them, it was really difficult to communicate. To schedule a tasting, I had to continuously follow up and it felt like I was causing an imposition. Between the tasting and a week before my wedding (several months) I did not get any follow up with the company at all. When trying to set my menu, I was sent incomplete and incorrect revisions and it was extremely stressful to not have a correct final menu right before my wedding day.The day of my wedding, multiple food items were great but multiple items were not as expected. I specifically ordered a dessert package with a 2-tier wedding cake plus a sheet cake to cut and serve. I was delivered a tiny single tier round cake and no cake to serve my guests. Several months later, I am still so disappointed that due to their horrible communication and their disorganization, I did not have a wedding cake at my reception.I also specified a VIP table that was to have their food served first, where my parents were seated. My mother’s dinner was already cold when it was served to her.After communicating our disappointments to MLC after our wedding, they were unable to remedy the situation. I would not recommend working with them, and I highly recommend seeking other catering recommendations.

Mountain Laurel catering is no joke. They’re amazing, honest, and great cooks. When my (now) wife and I were contacting vendors for our wedding, we knew food was a major thing not to gamble on! We looked at a few places, and Mountain Laurel came out on top. The private tasting was fantastic, only 1 of the like 15 things we tried (risotto balls) wasn’t “amazing” - but everything else was. So they immediately said “yeah, they aren’t our best, but our crowd favorite for vegan options is the butternut squash shooters.” And let me tell you, they were right! The day of, the food was incredible. Everyone raved about the apps, and they made sure my wife and I had a sampling of everything, and they made sure our other vendors were fed. They really did a fine job and we are beyond appreciative that they helped make our special day that much more special!
