Nirvana Kitchen got permanently closed at 3500 Walnut St, I don't know why they are still opens on Google map, at same address new restaurant has open

I think they are out of business as they are not taking online pick-up orders or delivery orders through any of the delivery service apps. Repeated phone calls to their business phone number go unanswered.

I've been here a few times. The portions are generous and the food is very good.I always appreciate the friendly service. The setting isn't fancy but it's comfortable and relaxed. I'll certainly be back.

Best Nepali / Indian Resturant in the town

Total letdown. The curry was greasy (even after stirring) and watered-down; flavor was non-existent. The onion bhaji was mushy and the naan bread (garlic and onion) also lacked flavor. We were looking forward to trying this place but I would not recommend, especially when there are much better options in the area.

Run down interior, with a sloppy design.. we arrived at the end of the buffet, so the food wasn't the best. He brought out fresh rice and naan, but should have offered we order from the menu to have fresh food. Overall the experience was okay, but I do not reccomend eating here.

Nirvana Kitchen used to be my favorite Indian buffet in Central Pennsylvania; however, it appears to have changed owners, and now it's the worst. I visited today and immediately noticed that the staff, uniforms, and decor had changed. I was there between 11:45am and 12:30pm and I was the only person in the restaurant... on a Friday. That should have been a warning sign. The person who greeted me was very friendly, so I figured I would stick around and see how things went. Unfortunately, the staff friendliness is the only positive I have to mention. Nearly every item on the buffet was bland. This was like the Pennsylvania Dutch version of Indian food. The biryani actually did have some flavor, but not enough that I wanted seconds. There was also a chicken curry that had some heat to it (but not much spice otherwise.) I was warned that the curry was hot, but it was a medium heat at most. Everything else on the buffet was incredibly bland: chicken tikka, dal, aloo gobi, even the tandoori chicken (which, incidentally, had the largest pieces of chicken I've ever seen on an Indian buffet; however, the quality of the chicken pieces was not very good.) I should mention that everything was cooked properly-- just without any flavor. The previous owner had great recipes and was always introducing new items and asking customers what they thought. This was the first time I ever left an Indian buffet hungry.

Poor food, the chicken tikka was so hard seemed like I was eating stones. The staff was very rude. They told me that I can get only one basket of naans. I wonder why they have buffet it'd they charge extra for naans. Very poor quality service and poor food.

We were on a family trip to east coast and stopped by at Nirvana to have our lunch . One of the best place we stopped by after leaving home in California . Great food , excellent customer service , clean .

I stop here every time I’m in town. They go above and beyond to be friendly and helpful! And the food is delicious!

We are going back home to MD from New York after a long day visiting schools for our daughter. It was a long day and all three of us were starving ! So, we figured we needed some comfort food. Hot momos, spicy chili chicken, spicy fried rice and some veggies and rice. The bright green walls and red booths threw me off a little as we entered but the pleasant young man who greeted us, put my mind at rest about getting my comfort food crave satisfied. The momos came out really well , a tad on the dry side but overall good ! The chili chicken was spicy , more like a dry curry, but not bad. We had to wait some before the entrees arrived but I was okay with it, thinking that my spicy chicken fried rice was finally on the table ! But what happened after was completely unexpected and unacceptable ! They had sent out some stale rice stirred in with frozen green peas and 2 or 3 dry chicken bits. No seasoning at all ! The rice tasted like they mistakenly sent it out to the customer instead of putting it out with the trash. The Saag Paneer was dry with no seasoning either. My daughter did eat some if the spinach but my appetite was gone ! I did let the young man know that a kitchen should NEVER serve this kind of food to a customer. It shows that you don't care and have no respect for your guest.

After 25 minutes waiting, the cook served a totally different food instead of chicken Biryani!! We know what chicken Biryani is and we know its spice level, color of chicken and rice and its spice level!! It was chicken Tandoori left overs added to rice which was made red with a super spicy sauce!!

This place used to be good. They add a lot of color in all the dishes. Lamb biriyani looks like they accidentally dropped it in red paint. Same with Paneer masala/chicken. Taste is ok.
