Tried for the first time & it was delicious! Food was flavorful and not too spicy. I had the curry chicken and ate in the car because I couldn’t make it home! Definitely going back to try other dishes

2nd time coming. First time was just 1 week ago. Went again today. Portion size was totally different. They are now using smaller containers for their 1 size jerk platter. Sorry, but the portion and the pricing doesn’t match. It also wasn’t as flavorful as last time, even though last time still lacked flavor, but this time the flavor was even less. Jamaican food is all about flavor and also spice in some cases; it’s bland today at best. I hate inconsistency with restaurants. This was my last time coming. Very subpar Jamaican food. I’ve definitely had better.

Every time I go here, the people are always courteous. I have a great experience. The food is amazing. I’m very particular on what I eat. Every time I come to Harrisburg, I eat here and they never fail me on a good meal.

Vegetarian options: Salmon, red, snapper, plantain, steamed cabbage, and carrots, rice, and peas, cocoa bread, vegan chunk stew, pineapple bowl

Parking: It is in a shopping center, so there is very many areas to park

Kid-friendliness: Kids family and everyone is able to come here and it is accessible to everyone

Wheelchair accessibility: All one level and there are no steps, so it is very wheelchair accessible.

First time, but not last!

I was so excited to stumble upon a West Indian restaurant in Harrisburg, but unfortunately, my meal completely missed the mark. I ordered the jerk chicken wings, expecting that bold, smoky, spicy flavor — instead, they were baked, not charred, with no jerk sauce in sight. They just used a generic brown sauce with no spice at all. As for the rice platter, it was a sad excuse for "dirty rice" and tasted like it came from a box. There was no cabbage, no plantain — honestly, just a bland, uninspired meal.

This is one of the worst experiences I've had when it comes to West Indian food, and I really wanted to support the community. If you’re looking for authentic Caribbean flavor, keep looking. Harrisburg has some work to do in the food department.

Do better.

This place has fell off BAD!!! Stingy with the portions & customer service is unprofessional & they lie!! If I spend $50+ with you & there’s an issue with my food you’re supposed to correct the situation not argue me down! I will NOT ever go here again Nor do I recommend anyone waste their money! Most of my items were ok except for the Goat definitely not worth it!! When this place 1st opened it was 💯 now they won’t see my money! Which I know they don’t care not when the owner calls me deaf because i told him the food wasn’t right!!! Food is expensive for No reason! Glad I stayed away for over a year he doesn’t deserve to be in business!!

My first time eating at Pepper Pot and the food was delicious and fresh! I had the curry chicken with rice and plantains and I had enough to eat there and to take home for later. The service was great, answered all my questions and made sure I had a bag for my leftovers. I enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere and enjoyed meeting the owner and family. I will definitely return to try more menu options.

I was over charged for a medium oxtail platter for $21 total, but it's advertised on the flyer for $18 for a medium oxtail platter. First time ordering from the restaurant. Not interested in ordering again because the math ain't math'n...

Not bad for a quick lunch most the food is maid up ahead of time so some of the dishes like jerk chiken are a bit dry I feel there's not enough flavor either was kinda bland for jerk and the rasta pasta was good but also needed some kick to it

The food is good, but portion size could be better for the price. I had the oxtails with rice and steamed cabbage. It has a good taste, but only my opinion could use some more pepper(heat).
