State street grill was highly recommended to us for brunch and we were not disappointed!! The atmosphere is very chic and inviting. The menu was so original and absolutely delicious. I can’t say enough about the food and atmosphere! Can’t wait to go back for dinner.

State Street Grill was such a good choice for a quiet lunch. It has a cozy atmosphere and our waitress couldn't have been nicer. She was very helpful answering any questions we had. The food was delicious! I had quiche with a side salad. I've never seen such a generous slice of quiche served! My friend had a Truffle Cobb Salad and added a side of the Chicken Salad. For dessert, we had Pumpkin Creme Brulee. Oh my! Was that delicious!! Prices were comparable to other restaurants serving the same type of food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening Friday night. We were having a celebration dinner and decided to try somewhere new. The food was fabulous! Our server, Veronica, was amazing. She was fun and knowledgeable, never making us feel rushed. We will definitely be returning...probably often?

First of all food is incredibly overpriced. Second the outdoor heaters were not working correctly, third for the food being overpriced it wasn't very good, the waitstaff was so so. And to top it off they add a 25 percent gratuity to the bill lol.

Food was great. We were seated in an area with young toddlers. 2 Tables worth. We take care of young grandchildren 5 days per week and a little break would have been nice. Service overall good although they never asked us if we wanted to refill our drinks and water. We will be back

State Street Grill catered my son’s wedding at Stone Meadow Gardens in Clarks Summit. The food and service and presentation were beyond my expectations. I highly recommend the cauliflower au gratin, the mashed potatoes, the crab cakes, the coconut shrimp, the roast beef, the sliders, etc., etc. etc. And, I must mention the wait staff…very friendly, accommodating, and professional.

We have been to this restaurant many times over the years. Over the last month however, the quality of the food and service has gone down significantly. Tonight, our server treated us as if we inconvenienced her to be at the restaurant. The only good food we had was the French onion soup. We each ordered calamari, as that used to be our favorite item on the menu. This time it was cold, rubbery and little taste. The water for tea was not even hot enough to brew the teas bags. When my wife asked for hot water, she was ignored. She only received it when I asked again. We told the server, gave them back the food, and we never received an apology. They never attempted to make it right either. We did however hear the snide comments between the servers after we handed back the food. My wife and I had beet salads. The beets were tiny. Some were chewy like raisins. Some were burnt like shoe leather. There was almost no seasoning, except for vinegar, on the rest of the salad. My son’s burger was not memorable. The server was only friendly when we asked for the bill and she thought she was going to get a tip. We are normally very generous tippers. Not this time. To sum it up, we paid $114.50 for French onion soup.

My mom and daughter went to pick up dinner today and the food was exceptional. We had the seafood pizza, shrimp and chicken alfredo and seafood mac and cheese and it was all amazing. The staff was extremely nice. On a personal level, my mom ran into the lady from the store in the parking lot who had seen my 4 year old daughter looking at cupcakes in the store and she gave them a container of cupcakes to take home! She took the time to put a smile on my daughter's face and to me that is priceless! Get to Seafood Saturday and support local businesses! You will not be disappointed!

** I would give this experience and honest 5/5 however they were lax on COVID protocols ** Unexpectedly awesome. Large portions priced well and delicious. The meal was excellent 5/5 on the fish tacos , cowboy steak, sweet potato fries & desserts (go with the apple crisp!) We are in an igloo and the experience was one of the best my family has had in a long time - beautifully decorated, heated and LED lights for ambiance. COVID PROTOCOLS: the waitress wore her mask underneath her nose - only covering her mouth. We kindly gave her a disposable mask and asked her to put it on and she declined citing management only allows black masks as part of the uniform. Frankly, I was horrified she would not comply with our request. The inside (we had to use the bathroom) was full. Lots of people tables closer together than I’ve seen at most places . If we return we will get takeout and remain safe .

We made lunch reservations for yesterday (a Saturday) at 1:30pm. We live about 45 minutes from the Clarks Summit area. We ordered a cup of the herbivore soup of the day and a cup of the French onion soup. Both soups were great and the portion was perfect. Then we ordered the vegan tacos and the special dish tacos of the day. My boyfriend raved about the fish tacos. The vegan tacos were just ok. They were slightly boring and I didn't love the flavor. We didn't realize the brunch menu would be so small. We normally like to have dinner at this restaurant so this was our first time having brunch. We also each had a side of fries, two winter sangrias (really tasty) and two different draft beers. We spent $67.30 before tip. The parking for this restaurant can be an issue, especially if there is an event happening downtown. They don't have a dedicated parking lot so you have to find on street parking. When we called for the reservation we were told 12:30pm was the only opening. So we checked our schedule before confirming and called right back. We were then told there was never a 12:30pm and there was only a 1:30pm, which was fine, but the guy who answered the phone seemed genuinely confused. When we arrived, the two girls at the hostess stand kept going back and forth as to where to seat us and discussing what tables were waiting to get their bills. We stood there for a good 15 minutes as other people came in and were immediately seated. We ended up being seated in their back room, which is a little sterile feeling and not romantic and nice like the front room. That was a little disappointing. It's also a distance to the restroom if you're seated in that area. Our server, Lizzy was great, but the front of house needs better training from answering the phone to take reservations and then seating patrons as they arrive. We'll definitely go back sometime because they have some great mixed drinks and always have some vegan/vegetarian options. Hopefully it's a better experience though.

Plenty of outdoor seating, just call in advance for a table. Drinks were well poured and the service was good. The menu has a lot of small plate choices and they usually have a few 'features" that r worth listening too. I had the meatloaf special and I finished it all. Mashed potatoes on the side with a veggie. Overall, a pleasant night put. It's an expensive place.
