Sometimes the best food is in the smallest spaces. Looking for a meal while in Harrisburg that was off the beaten path, we decided to try Taco King. It took me back to a vague memory from 3 decades ago about a similar place I found on a back street in Del Rio, Texas, a couple miles from Mexico. I don't remember the name of the restaurant, or the name of the street, but I bet I could go back to it! One of the best places in town for tacos! Just like love can thrive in tiny homes, sometimes the best food is in tiny businesses!
The appearance from the outside says it all. I got a carnitas burrito, it was so oily/greasy the bag was wet. The meat was dry and chewy. NO THANK YOU!!!

This place is small but mighty. Their food is absolutely fantastic. The salads are great, their fajitas are even greater, and the shrimp tacos? SO good, it'll hurt your feelings. If you get a hankerin' for authentic Mexican food, check out The Taco King.
