Went here looking for the Five Star diner, but it no longer exists. It's now a Mexican restaurant - wasn't really in the mood for mexican food, but didn't have time to go find another spot. Withstanding that, I had the Bistec Con Tostones Y Arroz - which was delicious even though they forgot the eggs! (which would have put it over the top) All around a good experience though, and I would go back again in the rare times I want authentic Mexican food!
Definitely not Five Star Diner.
As for the place itself, went down the drain. The place right away is not the cleanest, starting at the door / glass doors and windows. The table was dirty as well. The music inside was blasting to the point that I got a headache.
First of all, it's not the Five Star Diner anymore, it's El Quetzal Family Restaurant. The food was ok, not great. The server was lovely but spoke little English so communicating needs was a bit tricky. Prices were good.

A new place for me. I was starving and I wanted a home cooked meal. Alison let us sit where we wanted, a nice red booth. She was friendly and helpful explaining the menu and the Cantaloupe juice! My chicken was seasoned perfectly and melted in my mouth. The vegetables were chunky and plenty - just what I needed.
My daughter enjoyed her meal as well. We want to come back for breakfast.

Great food, with some really unique breakfast options. Speedy and delicious. The Salvadorean breakfast is my favorite.

I love this low key place with good food. Normally I like their food for the price, but my latest visit I ordered the Mexican breakfast skillet for $13 and it was a little small, 2 eggs on top of home fries. Their burritos are large and filling, the food is authentic and good quality.
Always out of scrapple
