I hopped on Yelp! and found Jesse’s - we wanted to eat before heading back home to Berks County. We are SO glad we did! The BEST BBQ ever!! The staff was super friendly & helpful with recommendations, since it was our first time. We went with the BBQ Sampler & added cornbread muffins with honey butter. EVERYTHING was delicious! “My family and I had an incredible dining experience tonight at Umai. We had a special, Kinmedai aka Golden Eye Snapper that was so fresh and tasty, out of this world good! We also had a treat with broiled tuna cheek that was also outstanding. Otoro was so velvety and rich, spicy hotate, sweet ebi, unagi, fried crabs, incredible sushi rolls, savory Akadashi (my son ordered a second it was so good) and everything else we ordered tonight was just incredible. I HAD to have the spicy tuna sandwich too-it’s still as delicious as I remember from quite a few years ago. My aunt had a beef teriyaki bento box from the bottom of the lunch specials list on the menu & she enjoyed that & everything else in the Boxed Lunch. I let her try my eel and the marinated daikon from the platter & she was surprised at how yummy they both were. Portions were generous too. The staff were very nice, and attentive. We couldn’t have had a nicer experience. We’ll be back much sooner next time.“

As far as the atmosphere, it is quaint but clean & always friendly! 😊 The mural on the wall gives the feeling of Tuscany or maybe Sicily but honestly it's the people that make this place what it is!!
