So I’ve been coming here for about 4 years and love every bit of this cafe. I tell all my friends, family and colleagues to come in for a drink. I never had an issue until today with the staff.
I had ordered around $40+ between beverages and food. All of which was fantastic. I ordered a bagel and forgot it.
No big deal right? Well I came to back to figure out what could be done, the girl at the register was so friendly and eager to help resolve the issue. Cool no problem, it’s not a big deal anyways, things happen.
Well the barista with the studded beanie, sleeve tattoos proceeded to interject that “You’re John? Oh well that was out for over an hour” and I obviously can’t convey the tone, but she shook her head like I was a problem. She didn’t even need to get involved because the rest of the staff handled it.
I was a barista for years and these things happen. A cafe is supposed to be a welcoming environment and warm space, she made it anything but with her attitude.
She made all the drinks I ordered and they were great, I just wish she wouldn’t try to problem solve or but into something that a colleague already remedied.
What could’ve been a simple engagement turned into me having to deal with someone’s offensive behavior.
I’ll continue to come back and support, my love for this place hasn’t changed.
But her leadership needs to discuss that she needs to have some sort of emotional regulation and if she’s not a part of the solution or conversation, don’t add in and become a part of the problem.
People forget things or make misses, we’re all human, but for her to treat me the way she did over a bagel she didn’t make or serve is inappropriate.

Pretty tasty!
Had a chocolate croissant and an americano, both were good. Quite busy inside which made it difficult to find seating. Friendly service.

All I have to say that going here for my weekend coffee and breakfast makes the 40 minute drive absolutely worth it every time.

I always love it here, and, as I sit with my delicious lentil soup and iced Americano, I thought I'd give Green Engine their props. Always delightful staff, good coffee, and the best avocado toast around.

I move into this place the week of Thanksgiving every year and love it. Parking and seating can be tough, but I love all of their pastries and highly recommend the breakfast burrito (which they turn into a breakfast pocket).

Sadly the matcha was trash, just tasted like sweetened milk. Doesn’t seem like they use a quality matcha and/or not enough of it. However, the chocolate drop pastry I got was amazing.

Delicious lattes, great service, cool space & vibe!
Visiting my daughter at college for a couple days. First visit was great! Bagel was so warm and cream cheese nice and cold. Even though it was busy, the service was fast and friendly. Next day on a Monday (today), service was slow. Bagel a was cold and took forever and cream cheese was a melted mess. Clearly the bagel was toasted then let to sit in the kitchen until it became cold and a gloopy mess. There was no business happening. I asked about the bagel. I was told it’s being made in the kitchen. I had the bagels to go and they did not mark the wrapper to let me know which bagel was which so, of course, I opened the wrong one and the paper tote and the gloppy room temp liquidy cream cheese got everywhere. I asked for a ‘double decaf cappuccino.’ What I wanted was a large latte decaf, I guess. I was told ‘a double’ means two shots of espresso which is apparently standard anyway so what I ordered didn’t mean anything. Yes, I’m ignorant about coffee. Would have been nice if I was asked to clarify. Would go back again. Would order correctly next time and no more bagels. If you see the only guy who ordered and no one else waiting to order and he is just sitting there and all three of you are doing nothing except checking your insta, consider actually going in the back and checking why the bagels could be taking so long. After I waited and asked about the bagels it took a very long time. This is why the toasted bagels were a room temperature mess.
Manager / Owner will not comment because they are gutless and too busy counting their money.

Great food and coffee, cozy atmosphere, and great place to open your laptop and work during the day. I'm a traveling sales person, and I look for cafes like this everywhere I go. I want more of this place.
