Atmosphere is very calm and a nice view. Staff is very attentive and nice. The food was very good and very filling. The mac n cheese with buffalo chicken is very flavorful and a big portion. My partner and I couldn’t even finish it. Calamari is also good and a good portion.

Host was very friendly. Server was also very friendly and attentive. Husband and I ordered side Caesar salads (WAY too much dressing but that’s just me). Husband had coconut shrimp app. Delicious! The sauce was outstanding. I ordered the pretzel crab dip. Didn’t like it at all. The pretzel roll was good but the dip was way too “fishy” and smelled “off”. I had every intention of paying for it, which I did, because I ordered it, but it was a little disconcerting when the server came over, and he clearly saw that it was barely touched and didn’t ask any questions. I really didn’t feel the need to say anything without being questioned because I intended on paying for what I ordered anyway, but he could clearly see that we were not happy with it and it was just interesting that he didn’t ask any questions about it. It makes me wonder if they care about customer satisfaction. Anyway, the place itself is really cute. It was really quiet, but we were also there at a very off time. I can’t see us going back If we are ever back in that area.

The Boat House delivers a memorable lakeside dining experience, in late fall through mid-spring when the lake view opens up through the bare trees. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal.
The ahi tuna was fresh and flavorful, and the chimichurri flank steak both packed a PA appropriate punch—that is to say they weren't very spicy. Service was fine, but it’s best to arrive knowing what you want; the pace and flow seemed smoother that way.
A unique perk: you can dock and dine or pick up food right from the dock, making it a great stop for boaters looking to enjoy quality food without leaving the water.

The hostess was rude when we asked her if we could sit outside because we had a toddler with us who would need a booster seat. Our server was not friendly. The food was way overpriced and not very good. We ordered some cocktails that we believe had no alcohol in them at all. We will not be back.

Sat at the outside bar to listen to some live music. First, the musicians were very good. I enjoyed sitting at the bar listening to them. As for the food. The cheese quesadilla was small and pretty thin. Nothing spectacular. The Ceaser salad was almost inedible. The croutons were mushy and the Parmesan cheese was mealy. Service was courteous. The bartender worked hard, but he was up against some big obstacles. He had to go into the restaurant for glasses on every order. He had to go into the restaurant to run every credit card. He didn't have a cash drawer. Watched him use the cash from one order to make change for another. People coming off their boats had to wait incredibly long to get a drink. The massive window air conditioner for the kitchen vents right onto the end of the bar. Makes bar area hot and some seats unusable. Dining options are limited in this area of the Poconos. Which is probably the reason they can continue to operate. I would only recommend as a last resort.

I ordered the ribeye with a side of mashed potatoes, and it showed real care. The steak had a perfect sear and rich buttery flavor, while the mashed potatoes were silky and creamy. Paired with a pint of craft beer, the whole meal was spot on—I couldn’t have been happier.

What a great time my wife and I had at the Boat House. Walked in and had a drink at the bar with very pleasant barman. Was seated promptly at a cozy table. Had the pot stickers as an app which were so tasty. The entrees were expertly prepared with portions that just right. We will be back to try other dishes, for sure! Great wait staff were very helpful with selections.

On the food front, some items good where others not so good. The fish and chips I had spent a little more time in the fryer than it needed to be.
Service, terrible. From trying to get a table, ordering food, getting new drinks, receiving the entrees, and all the way up to getting the check was painful. Just the time it took from asking for the check to receiving one took about 20 minutes.

entrees were ungodly bland from the chicken, to the steak, to even the vegetarian options. appetizers were delicious. staff was friendly but service was substandard. wait staff kept placing hot items and open cups in front of my toddler. even spilling part of a dish while serving and never came to clean it resulting in a soiled floor i had to dance around. had to ask multiple times to get items like drinks, dessert menu, and to go containers.

Had a great meal!!! The service was great. I recommend the crab cakes they were excellent. Prices are resononable compared to everyone else. Nice size portions. Ate at 3 pm on a Saturday. They were busy but didn't need to wait for a table. Will definitely be coming back.

2 years ago I have left a good review of this restaurant (my 2 first pics). Today’s is going to be totally different. The place was not packed (as usual), and still we had to wait. They sit us outside, which is nice but the service there was extremely slow. Everything took a while. We ordered 🍔 medium well and they were not even medium. It is not cheap and now, you don’t get what you pay for. I will take a break from this place, not worthy anymore.
