Great welcoming staff,food ,and beers!
The food was awful had to send some back. They ran out of soft drinks. The drinks were wrong. It took us 10-15 minutes to find someone to get us silverware. Awful experience! Would not at all recommend!
I’ve been here several times and have always enjoyed the changing menu of beers, at excellent prices. The staff has always helped me pick one I enjoy, and the food is always great. The staff is really attentive. The last time I was there so many very friendly folks kept coming over to check in, bring me my food, check on my beer and growler fills… you’re supposed to order food at one counter and beer at another, but the staff all offered to take my order and bring me my items when they were ready.
I’ve been in and out of the area since 2020 and kept saying I’m going to stop here when I get a chance. Finally did, and by far Wallenpaupack Brewing has become one of my favorite local breweries. The beer is so fresh, crisp, aromatic, they really make the magic happen. Best pub style food I’ve had, that was a hit. No wait and the place is pretty cool. Will be back… Chris was pretty awesome. Great tour and the care and craftsmanship in the beer making process was astounding
(Removed:)Going with 2 stars. (Removed) The food is good. But the asinine way of getting food, beer, water, silverware, or a take home box is ridiculous.
Been here 3 times. First two times were great. Food was good. The place functioned like a normal restaurant that happened to have a brewery and shop. It was cute. My girlfriend, my father, and myself liked it. Now we come back the third time.
We walk in. Two girls are sitting on high chairs by the door talking to each other. They welcome us. Then a young man comes up to take us to our seat. So far nothing amiss. He asks “have you folks been here before?”, to which we said yes. Let me explain something to you. When you totally change your dynamic on how your restaurant functions, asking if you’ve been here before, and assuming you knew this, means nothing. It should be phrased “have you been here since we changed our ordering system?”
So to our surprise, the staff no longer take your order. You’re seated. You go to one side of the restaurant to order food. You go to another side of the restaurant to order beer. You go to a water draft in the middle of the place to get your water. You get back up to ask the food desk for silverware or a take home box.
You’re given a table number. You take your table number to either food person, or beer person to open a tab. What’s even more fun is when beer person can’t find the tab food person started. So you’re waiting as they walk back and forth to each other to figure out what’s wrong. The simple answer is this entire system. Ok. Beer person found the tab from food person. You walk your own flights of beer to the table now. You get back up to get your waters at the draft watering hole. If you want ice you need to bring the water to the beer person to get you ice.
As we are eating, I count 2 employees doing absolutely nothing. The same ones at the door when we walked in. They must work the shop. The 2 bartenders leaning back up against the bar talking. The two food people leaning up at the wall talking. And the young man who took us to the table initially. Bouncing between the groups of employees, socializing. So apparently with all these employees, this place can no longer function like a regular restaurant and take orders or check up on tables. This is where I found out I need to get silverware and “to go” boxes from food station and went to beer person to find out about the self serve ice-less water station.
And to finally close, as expected, you get up to pay your check. The check that asks for gratuity. Seriously, how much do you think you deserve in this environment? Your entire restaurant is functioning like a modified cafeteria.
Suffice to say, I won’t be back.
Sad. As I said the food was good. Except the homemade chips. They suck. Stick to fries.
I changed my 2 stars to a 1 because of their moronic reply on google. “We’d like to hear more about your experience. Please send an e-mail including your name and the date of your visit to [email protected] , so our management team can contact you to resolve this issue.”
You want to hear more? My verbatim telltale is not enough? Do me a favor. Take your copy and pasted reply to one of the registers and tell them your table number. Is that info worthy of a gratuity?

Not sure what happened here??? Last 2 times I visited, Service just downright sucks…. Place wasn’t even busy today…. I was offered one beer, and it took an hour for a medium done cheeseburger to come out… Bartenders just stand there aimlessly…. Really sad to see them like this, used to be top notch service.. 🫤😞
Delicious food! Outdoor eating area to enjoy pleasant weather. We were there for axe throwing once, awesome experience!!! Not a beer drinker but they do have a wine list. Everyone I was with enjoyed their beer. Never had a bad dish here. Poutine Fries, Bavarian Pretzel, Wings, all yummy. Happy atmosphere, great service, well run establishment. Thanks for a fantastic time!!!
Very slow service. Lots of staff just hanging out while the line builds
Been eating at the brewery for quite a few years now. Beer is always good and food use to be great. Each time I come here the food is more disappointing. Just ate here today and sandwich and fries were cold, roll and smount of meat one sandwich was poor. Haven’t written this place off yet but not the place I craved for in the past years
Restaurantji Recommends
Scenery and live music were great. The brisket sandwich was not good. It was very greasy to the point where the bun was soaked. I ended up splitting the avocado toast meal with my wife. I wasn't a fan of the order your food over here and then drink over here setup.
We visited this establishment on a Saturday night. Restaurant is spacious with lots of tables. The more people came the louder it got. I got the beer battered shrimp tacos which were ok, but too spicy for my liking. They messed up my husband's order so we didn't eat together. He got a brat burger, which was a special. He waiting at least another 10 minutes for the burger. The fries were delicious!! He said the burger was delicious as well. It's a bit pricey...we got 3 meals, one appetizer, 2 beers, & 1 alcoholic drink for $80. The beer prices were reasonable. Also getting the food once we ordered took quite a long time...to long if you ask me. If I come again, I would get one of the burgers. Definitely a place to try.
Another of my favorite places in the area. The beers are exquisite. The system they have is super practical and the burgers are very good. The prices are consistent. Good wifi and some games for the kids. It is very large, so there is almost always room. Always a pleasure to go!
Good beer, nice selections and very nice staff. Pulled pork was tasty
All the things you expect in a local brewpub. Multiple sandwich options from burger, pulled pork, chicken, veg, and brats. Each comes with homemade chips. Many of the sauces (gravy, cheese) are made with their beers. Wings are large and a must get. As for the beer, for the casual beer drinker, options are good. But don't come expecting an Otherhalf, HopButcher, Tired hands, etc. like beer. That being said, beer is fresh and many seasonal options. Service and wait times (no reservations) can be annoying but for size of the place, you got to be understanding
