Disappointed

The hostess was clearly disappointed that we had reservations, she seemed bothered that she had to seat people, even worse, we asked for a table outside and she had to take more steps. The waitress was pleasant and kept trying to make things right, I felt sorry for her and left her a big tip. We have been going there once a year since they opened, the first time was awesome, we have continued to go back each year even though it has been a little bit worse each time, it is such a beautiful location (oh ya, the hostess wouldn't let us sit in an area with a view, even though there were available tables). This time it completely fell off the cliff, we won't be back. Make sure you look at the menu ahead of time. It is limited, expensive, most dishes are either Indian, Middle Eastern or feature an Indian twist, so make sure that there is something you/your party want. It is more expensive than it looks because the portions are very small, à la carte and you will need to order multiple dishes. My wife ordered the Chicken Shawarma, as an Ok dish it was the highlight of our meal. Hawley Sliders were delivered to the table next to us, I noticed that they were very well done. Even though they were 3 very small sliders, with no side order for $18 I ordered them and asked for them to be prepared rare, without the Togarashi Aioli. Yes, they came out with the mayo and were black/gray in the middle, they were not edible. I had also ordered the Wild Arugula & Roasted Peach Salad with Poppy Seed Vinaigrette, which didn't come out When I sent back the sliders I asked for the salad. It came out 10 min later, it was very heavily dressed (almost like a soup) and the dressing tasted like they had mixed a ton of Mayonnaise, with a little sugar & a couple of Poppy seeds. We talked about coming in the future for a just a drink & to look at the falls, but remembered that the first beer was warm, flat and tasted old and the second beer (which came in a can) was warm and skunked.

I had dinner here last night with my daughter for her birthday. We ordered 3 appetizers and one meal to share. The Naan is not naan. Please stop calling it that. It was burnt and had no flavor. The sauces that came with it are great but didn't do much to help the burnt taste of the naan. The mac and cheese bites were really good as were the duck fat french fries (although they tasted like regular french fries with the exception of the sauce). We shared the chicken shawarma and was VERY disappointed. The chicken was cut up too thin and was burnt. There was not enough sauce drizzled over the top (it was more of little drips) and the naan was burnt and tasteless again. The pickled veggies were 90% onions and we didn't eat them. When it came time for dessert, the waitress let us know what they have and my daughter ordered. The waitress soon returned letting her know that they don't have that and they had something else which my daughter politely accepted. Why tell us you have something available when it isn't? It was a very nice touch to put a sparkler in her desert when bringing it over, however, using a metal sparkler makes it hot and she burned her fingers trying to take it out of her dessert. While you have an amazing location and ambiance, your food and service is lacking greatly.

Gorgeous setting amongst the waterfalls! Great patio space and beautiful bar area. Service was great...the team works together to make sure that everyone is taken care of (regardless of any “that's not my section” mentality) Passing through, so not sure of a return...but if we do make it back to the area, Glass will definitely be a stop! Thank you!

The best aspect of the Glass is the view. It's next to a small gorge with waterfalls. It's probably the most amazing view I've ever had eating dinner out. The service was good as was the food. My wife and I would like to go again when its a little warmer and eat outside.

What an amazing anniversary dinner. Place casual enough that I didn't need to really “dress up” which I appreciated. First- I put “anniversary” in open table and I think for the second time ever it was acknowledged! Hostess greeted us w a happy anniversary. Perfect seating on a cool night on the covered heated patio - overlooking the falls and also w easy access to step out and snap a few pics while waiting for meals. Dan was our waiter. Also greeted us w a happy anniversary. He knew menu well, was very personable and attentive and helped us decide on an app- suggested less instead of more and brought me some extra fig jam! Surprised us with 2 glasses of champagne and comped our cannolis. Charcuterie board was a meal in itself. Delish all around and Dan gave great recs for pairing. Hubs had the special -crabmeat stuffed king shrimp and it was delish. I had the shawarma (made Dan help me decide between a few dishes). It was just enough and delicious- tender flavorful chicken, warmed pita and spicy pickled veggies. Yum Dessert was 2 perfect cannolis! Nice wine list, local beers and cocktails. Hubs had their cherry lime Rickey and earlier in the day we had a tasting of the pomegranate pear margarita. Both were yummy. Will definitely come back. Can't beat the ambience and views. Quiet enough that could have an easy conversation and hear the falls.

Food was fabulous. Celebrated our 31st wedding Anniversary and received complimentary champagne. Mike our server was very attentive. Sat outside in the heated patio which was a little too hot at times but had breathtaking views. Would definitely go back again; even if we only sat in the bar area and had drinks.

Beautiful and grand yet quiet and so peaceful and sophisticated. The surroundings are so rugged and elegant and the menu follows suit.. delicious classics with a gourmet twist.. great experience and the service was top notch as well!!

It was our 31st wedding anniversary and everything about the evening exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, the service (Michael) was outstanding and the atmosphere was outstanding! My husband said it was the best pork chop ever had. And, honestly, the mushroom risotto was the best risotto I have ever had! Lastly, I must say that I LOVED the background music and I almost never like the music, as I am a professional musician and I'm very particular. Keep up the good work, Glass, and thank you for making us feel special.

It was first time there and we were very impressed with the food and service. we will return when the weather is warmer. looking forward to the the summer time music your staff so graciously told us about.

To start we waited at least a half hour to get our drinks and no one came to give us an update in that time. The food was very good and the service was good outside of that. The view was great if you sat on the end tables, but the restaurant itself was just OK in ambience.

We had an excellent dinner at Glass in Hawley. The food was very well prepared and created with care to tastes and presentation for both fish and meat. The more casual dining site by the waterfall was beautiful as the sun wemt down. A magical night.

Glass is absolutely beautiful. The view is spectacular. Our meal was incredible. The portions are just the right size for sharing. We ordered a little of everything because of the tapas style. We definitely will go back especially in the spring when we can eat outside our waitress Cassie was friendly and helpful when we were ordering. She made awesome suggestions.

Service, food and ambience were excellent. Mixed drink was average (below average for $15 tag, the wine list was state storeish, would be nice to have a couple of Italian or Spanish reds and whites don't remember any NY wines on the list.

We came for our anniversary on a Saturday night. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a manager who saw that it was our anniversary and immediately congratulated us and took us over to the bar for a complimentary glass of champagne. Every person we encountered was incredibly nice including the other patrons. We were sat at an indoor table as it was icy outside, and were given a perfect view of the waterfall. We had a few drinks and got the charcuterie board, sliders, mac and cheese and french fries. All of the food was solid, next time I would order the beef filet as it looked incredible and so did the lamb chops. The ambiance and service were amazing, I cant recommend this place enough.

Wonderful evening! We sat in the inside dining room ~ corner table along the “glass walls.” Beautiful views! Our server, Mikey, was very friendly & attentive. Appetizers were delicious ~ Gorgonzola cheese dip and seaweed salad w/ smoked salmon. Gnocchi entree was fabulous! Mac and Cheese was a bit dry. Wine/Spirit selection was vast. Desserts were tasty ~ tres leche and a vanilla pudding w/ Carmel & sea salt topping. The dining room is tight. Had to go to the ladies room at one point & had to inconvenience other patrons to get through. Overall, a lovely evening! The service & ambiance can't be beat!
