Tap at Humboldt Beer Depot

Bartenders really don't Pay attention u could sit here with a empty drink at the bar and not be served even though they passed me 5 times with a empty drink sitting out I've been to places alot more crowded and served within seconds of my drink being placed out

The absolute worst experience ever. The hostess was not nice at all. We Sat at a table that according to the hostess and staff “doesn’t exist” they refused to serve us at the table or offer alternative seating. Then later on we saw them serving food to people on a couch and in their other dinning area which they refused to serve us initially. It took over an hour and a half to get our meal and when we finally did we got no utensils and our waitress did not come back for well over two hours when we were finally able to ask for the check. Will not be back.

The service is good on days it isn't busy. It's a gem of a place for live music. However, that's when the service fails. Once the place is busy, there aren't enough bar tenders or wait staff to accommodate the size crowds this place receives. I have been here many times, and unfortunately, I try to avoid very busy nights because it makes it no longer enjoyable.

Nice place with many types of beer and they have live music with a billiard room and video games to spend an evening

First and last time at this place. Waited an hour and a half for food, and I must say, the food was just “alright”. We had a party of 8 and only ordered salads and burgers, nothing over the top or difficult. The waitress was rude. Not once did she apologize for the wait time either. We had our 4 year old with us and anyone that has a child, knows it could be difficult to entertain them that long. She didn’t even offer to bring her food out first. Not to mention, the band was so loud, you couldn’t even hear yourself think. Overall, not a good experience and unfortunately we will not be back.

I worked in Hazleton in the winter of 2021 and visited this bar several times during my stay. As a German, I was surprised by the Christmas market that was set up and the German beer on offer. I would never have thought that I would find something like this 6000km from home! Thank you for your hospitality!

The food was delicious ? We didn't know this place existed until we saw it pop up for a Bluegrass event. I am so glad we went bc the food was fantastic and the music and atmosphere were great!

Play cornhole there on Mondays. The burgers are some of the best in the area.

My beloved wife and I went to The Tap At Humboldt on Friday night 8/2.. The band Magic Stew was playing live music..
They were inside, as the forecast was for rain at any given time.. But the speakers on the patio outside were channeling the music out to the patio!!!
Quick history here – I was born in Hazleton and grew up in the town of Humboldt..
And though I live in the Lehigh Valley now, I still come in every 2-3 weeks to see my Mother, who still lives in that little town called Humboldt!
Some observation from over the past few years –
The Tap At Humboldt has grown!!! The ‘inside’ has really expanded – lots of room for patrons and a very nice stage for performances!!! The bar has a HUGE selection of beers for every taste! Though I’m happy they serve Miller Lite on tap – and a big cold cup is only $4!!!
The inside also has billiards tables and ‘PA Skill Games’ if anyone wants to play some pool or gamble a little!!
Also, the menu has grown, and the food is always very good and reasonably priced!

And the ‘outside’ is simply beautiful!!! An open bar under a pavilion, picnic tables and café tables on a well finished surface of well laid pavers!!! And the string lights outside add a beautiful atmosphere!!!!
And the tables inside and outside are spaced out well!!! You don’t feel cramped or like a sardine in a can!!! LOL..
I like the interior a lot, but as a smoker I like the outside bar a lot too!!
I cannot believe that such a fine place exists – literally a quarter mile from where I grew up!! LOL..
By the way, the entire place is immaculately clean- inside and out!!! Even the rest rooms! I love the ‘creativity’ the owners used in the men’s room for the sink and urinals!!! A very nice touch to a place that calls itself ‘The Tap’!!! LOL…

By the way – EVERYONE at the TAP was SUPER friendly!!! But I want to single out the bartender outside, Christine (Not sure if she spells it with a C or a K), but SHE was AMAZING, PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, and NEVER LET MY BEER RUN DRY!!! LOL..

The Tap At Humboldt is an incredible place!!!
Looking forward to me and my wife’s next visit on 8/23 to see “Nicks In Time”!!!!..
I very HIGHLY RECOMMEND this fine establishment!!!
The staff makes every patron feel like a valued customer, and it is super cool place to hang out!

I’ll end with this… I am 57 years old…
I gave up bar hopping over 3 decades ago..
But I will say this – whenever I am in my hometown, I will stop in at The Tap At Humboldt to give them my business and support the local economy..
These folks are simply amazing!!!
If you have never been there, check them out!!!
You will NOT be disappointed!!!
I wish I could give this place 10 stars out of 5!!!

Place was great with great selection of beers and lots of space to relax. Only issue was them retroactively charging a cover when we had already been there for a half hour eating and drinking, implying that we had to pay to remain there when the band came on. Luckily one of us had cash on hand, but was definitely weird since typically I've only ever paid a cover to enter a bar

I love the way they did the outside. The honey hot wings were so damn good. I want more wings.
