We decided to go eat at this restaurant because people said it was good. We got to the restaurant and waited 30 minutes before I had to go up and get a server. She took out drinks and food order and took for ever. We had to go complain because two guys came in way after and they got their drinks and appetizers before us. Even a group of guys next to us said the food was bad and the service worse. They pod and left the food as it was. We also found that the ketchup bottles had mold in them. My sister checked one of them and so I decided to check the ketchup bottle on the table next to us. Same thing, so I informed the waitress and she just took them and said nothing. We just decided to leave since our food or drinks weren’t even out.

Really disappointed in this place . The food is good but the prices are scam . The online prices are different , the store prices are different and the workers charge you more than what the prices are . Example I was told mofongo was 24.99 with the pork with out the pork is 22.99 but online is 22.99 with the meat!!!. They charge you for water ? The food is amazing but make sure you know your prices before coming here or you will be scam . Beware . I wouldn’t go there again until they train the staff to be honest and not over charge customers of the head rather than going by the menu prices in the book

Great food, great service, they really did a fantastic job turning the old Art League building into a restaurant!

There is nothing mexican about this food. They sell Dominican food with a Mexican presentation, that's all. I ordered chicken tacos and the chicken did not taste like Mexican cuisine, it was over seasoned and salty. The tacos had a SINGLE tortilla and each order came with ONE thinly sliced lime wedge. It was barely enough for a single taco. Point being, the name can be considered FALSE advertisement. This is not authentic Mexican food, it's more like a mixture of mainly Dominican cuisine with a hint of Mexican cuisine. Granted, I'm Dominican, but if I wanted Dominican food I would have cooked myself. I wanted MEXICAN food. Change your name and call it El Patrón Dominican Grill! --------- IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER'S REPLY BELOW: The best AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant in Hazleton is actually El Mariachi. Also, the passive aggressive responses DO NOT help your business. They exhibit the level of maturity that you possess as a business manager. Scroll through the other poor reviews and you'll find the same comments about the food. Some even reported that the establishment is DIRTY. ATTENTION DOH!!!! Maybe the DOH would like to work at your filthy establishment. I'll call them and let them know you're hiring. P.S.
I sure hope you don't kiss your mother with that mouth. STOP ADVERTISING AS MEXICAN, YOU DO NOT SELL MEXICAN FOOD, YOU SELL DOMINICAN FOOD.

Best Birria tacos in town
Me and my family went to this restaurant and when we walked in there was a guy blasting and singing music SO loud, I couldn't hear the waitress and I had to repeat myself a bunch of times because of how loud it was. If the guy would've of lowered the volume a bit, there had been no issue there. We ordered food and they messed up our orders. I ordered a Torta and for my fellow Mexicans, you all know a torta is supposed to be thick and packed with the meat and condiments, but when my torta arrived, I was so disappointed at the portions. It was also SO small I finished my sandwich in a few bites. My mom ordered Sopes and they messed up her order also. They did not followed directions. My partner ordered a chicken burger and we thought he was going to get a chicken breast but oh boy we were wrong. They put a chicken patty from the freezer in his sandwich! Unbelievable. For the prices that they advertise, the food and the ambient was not good. As a fellow Mexican, I'm highly disappointed. This place is not the vibe.
Buyer beware!

The food was dry, salty and the portions was way to small compared with the price I'm been on deferent Mexican restaurants around the country but not like this one. Plus the restroom door didn't lock. It states that it's a Mexican restaurant but it's more Dominican or Caribbean. Our server was ok.
