“Wonderful service, food and atmosphere. Had Valentines dinner at Top of the 80's. Everything was fabulous including the price and to top it off I received a carnation with babies breath and two chocolate covered strawberries!! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a lovely meal with spectacular views.”

“I was fortunate enough to be introduced to this café by a Dominican coworker. Since moving to Hazleton I have been disappointed by the seemingly total lack of cafés in the area. I love it here! The coffee is delicious and everything is made fresh, not left out sitting in display cases. We also tried some pastolitos (honestly not sure how to spell that!), and they were excellent. The dining area is bright, comfortable, immaculately clean, and very welcoming. Highly recommended!”

“Take a walk back in time to 1933. This place is a GEM. Small intimate bar and seating for 15. The phone rings non stop and the bartenders chirp orders into a microphone to the kitchen. Beer is fresh and ice cold and a steady stream of people come and go getting Pitza to go. We got a 12 cut half schamutz/Romano and half sausage hot peppers. The schamutz is flavorful and fresh tomatoes and pairs perfectly with the aged Romano. The sausage it shaved and the hot peppers have the right amount of spice and brine. Senapes in THE TRUTH.”

“Stopped in looking for a nice place to have breakfast with a nice atmosphere. Heard this place just started serving breakfast and decided to stop. Let me tell you this really hit the spot. The menu was so hard to chose from, everything seemed appealing. Did I want something to satisfy my early morning sweet tooth or something savory? I went for the Bobby D's special. It was recommended by my waitress, I believe her name was Kyrah. She was amazing! Very helpful, polite and made sure we were taken care of. Will definitely go there again!”

The birria quesadilla I ordered was so delicious - besides being MASSIVE, it had a generous amount of tender shredded beef and melty cheese, with a crispy (but not too thick) tortilla, which was easy to dip. The stew was full and flavorful, too, with notably-fresh cilantro and a good balance of oil-to-veggies. El Gordo is a genuine birrieria, and definitely worth checking out! “Very quaint, cute space. Lives up to the name of a "coffee bar". Was offered to have my coffee served in a glass, which was a brand new experience (there are also traditional to-go cups as well). There were two people ahead of me, and the wait time wasn't terrible, considering Dan, the owner, was the only one behind the counter at the time. He was really attentive to everyone who came in, stopping for a moment to acknowledge new patrons. His recommendation for a coffee from Honduras did not disappoint. It was very smooth and flavorful with no bitterness whatsoever. I paid $4.25 for a normal sized latte, which is cheaper than your Starbucks and Dunkin by a few bucks! All in all, really great experience. Nice folks, good coffee, good environment. Would strongly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of alternate milk options.Parking: Fairly small llot, but seems easy enough to find a spot even during the busier times.”

Couple that with your favorite custard and creat your own Gelato flavor. If you enjoy cordial cherries during the holidays, try chocolate custard with cherry Italian ice. To due for! Or chocolate custard with banana Italian ice for the best chocolate covered frozen banana ever (other than the original). So if you want to treat yourself to a flavorful treat stop at Rita's in the strip mall located inside Walmarts parking lot.”

The service was extra friendly, and welcoming. We ordered the meatball sub, and the sausage Rupini, and we were blown away. The sauce was perfectly seasoned, the portions were just right, and once again.. they were beautiful. Don’t even get me started on the sweets. Perfect fluff, sweetness, and density. Truly a skilled baker, at work..I’ll be making this my go to shop for sweets, and treats. So happy I came across this local company.”

“I very much enjoyed visiting this store 2 weeks ago. I bought and am still enjoying T&L's pierogies, farmer's cheese and sauerkraut. Farmer's cheese is hard to come by and to me, is more traditional than potato and cheese. These are nicely made and generously filled. I was equally delighted to try their kolbasy "Lonczynski's". Nicely seasoned, it harkens back to local favorite Green View Meats that no longer exists. The taste of of this kolbasy brought me back. You never forget the flavors that you grew up with. Pay T&L a visit in downtown Hazleton, or buy their pierogies in local stores such as Boyers. Wegmans also carries. I can speak definitively on the kolbasy's availability. You should be able to buy at the Chestnut St. store. The owner recommends placing orders for holidays such as Easter. I'm delighted to have a new Hazleton business to add to my errands whenever I'm in town.”

I will say sometimes the people who answer the phone can be rude but it's worth it for the grub. It's a greasy spoon for sure but you can't go wrong. Picked it up in 20 mins and sure enough it was hot & ready to go. Paid with card, quick and easy. Pizza tasted delicious, cheesy and flavorful. Bread crust was delicious and not chalky or stale like most other pizza places. The garlic knots tasted good too but were room temperature. I will ask them to warm them up when I order next time. I will definitely return and order from here again. Street parking available. Very clean and neat inside. Bench Table seating available inside for dine-in. Sodas and juices available in large fridge. Staff smiled and spoke with me as I paid. I will recommend for locals and those who are in the area looking for good pizza and service. The fried plantains were very good and the different rices were a welcome surprise. The young woman behind the counter could not have been nicer. She was upbeat and truly eager to help. She took the time to explain each of the dishes to us. I was glad to see both of the women behind the counter had their hair back and covered.
