My fiance is newly in love with the shrimp salad, and had me on a hunt for it yesterday. I put la cueva in my waze maps and got there, walked in and told them I have no idea what I'm looking for is called, but explained it to them, and they were swiftly able to point me int the right direction! Prices were great, my first time trying this salad (or restaurant at all) and it was delicious! I will definitely order again, and try more from the menu! During a 5 mile + walk in Hazleton yesterday, I by chance discovered La Cueva restaurant on Alter Street. What an unexpected gem! It’s a nicely organized place, with fresh food prepared and well-displayed behind a counter and small wooden tables for dine-in. When I asked what’s the format for ordering (no menus were posted,) I was directed to a nice young lady who spoke English. The restaurant is a bit off the beaten past. It’s definitely a neighborhood favorite. The food is tasty, just the right amount of spices. The beef in the beef stew was of good quality.
