The best restaurant in the Hazleton area by far. Beautiful interior, amazing food and great service. Well done Ovalon!
Both food and waitstaff were exceptional. I loved the ambiance which was lively without being noisy. I would absolutely return!
We were the only table in the main dining room. It took 29 minutes for anyone to take our drink order. The pasta dinners were delicious and hot. My haddock and my mother's steak were cold. No one was sending any food back because it took 40 minutes just to place our food order.
Ovalon provides a very enjoyable dining experience. Food and service are very good and there's value as well.
Awful experience. Had reservations for 6. Called at 545 said running late. Paring made it worse. Sat in i suppose the main dining room at a corner table for 6. We were 1 of 3 tables. Our server was very green. No problem. However we waited for nearly 30 minutes to ask about drinks. Got drinks 20 minutes later. Bar is 15ft away. No bread. After another 20 minutes asked for apps. 30 minutes later 1 of 3 apps arrived. A pretzel. Was waiting on soup for another 15 minutes. We barely say our server. It was like we were invisible. Zero management or leadership. Decided to get check and had to leave. Too hungry too late. This was a Saturday night in a 2/3 empty place. Shameful absolutely shameful. Still tipped 25%out of pity for waitress. She had 0 support from coworkers of other staff.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the Ovalon. Our personable hostess Sheila let us write to our booth. Aubrey, our waitress, couldn’t have been more efficient and helpful. She was on top of everything and kept us informed all the while we were there. The atmosphere was lovely, we enjoyed the music, and our dinners were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and it’s wonderful staff!

Our server, Karen, who is also the bartender, made an amazing strawberry cosmo and served us with attentiveness. She is a doll. The food is always outstanding and last night was no exception. We had just returned from Italy, and my children said the bread was better than in Italy and the sauce was authentic Italian. I agree! Try John's meatballs for an appetizer and then enjoy them again on top of Ovalon special-we couldn't get enough of those meatballs. If you're lucky, you'll be greeted by Sheila, her graciousness makes you feel like you are entering her home. The O will always be my hometown favorite!
When we arrived, we were seated quickly in a nice booth by the bar. Received a basket of bread which was good but had to ask for olive oil for dipping. The salt was stuck in the shaker. Asked for another salt shaker which was brought to us promptly. We both ordered the pasta classic: Ravioli with 2 meatballs and red sauce. Both ordered salads which are no longer included with the meal. Asked for romaine lettuce instead of greens which was an up charge which was fine, but when the salads came out, I had to send mine back. It was soaked with water making it inedible. For $7.00 per salad, the greens should not be soaking wet. The waitress also brought me the wrong salad dressing and argued that that was what I ordered. My husband corrected her and said we ordered the same for our salads. Our dinner was not the best. The red sauce tasted like jarred sauce. In fact, I’ve had better jarred sauce than this. The meatballs were very bland and mine were not cooked through entirely. The raviolis were ok but must have been frozen. The cost of our meal was about $51.00 plus tip. My husband had 1 beer and I had water. We will not be returning.

Angie was our waitress and she was the best! We made reservations for dinner after my son's graduation. We had to alter the reservations and she was extremely accommodating. She treated us like family.
Great service and the food was also great. I had the Cajun Chicken Alfredo and it was excellent.

My friend moved to Hazleton a few years ago and I finally came to visit him. The one place he kept saying we HAD TO GO TOO was the Ovalon. The food was great, the people super friendly and the atmosphere was old school vibes at its best. Was a great night. The best part was Carol. The bartender and resident host extraordinaire. From the moment I walked in she made me feel so welcome. Like I had been a regular for years. On top of that she made one of the best martinis I’ve ever had. Thanks so much ovalon for a memorable night
Don't waste your money. Went there for Mothers Day. Took three hours to get our dinner. Never offered desert, never checked back. Served prime Rib thst was not properly cooked in an alto Sham but instead grilled and dried out, and a different waitress that didn't serve us just dropped the check and walked off. Called and left a message and the owner never called back but instead went through the extra effort to block me on his social media pagesbafter I left a review. Posted a negative review detailing my experience and they ignored it. Don't waste your time or money.
Everything was excellent. The strawberry cosmopolitan was so good. The steak and cheese sandwich was grilled perfectly accompanied with fries. The pasta primavera was delicious. The staff is always friendly and goes above and beyond. We can not wait to go back.
Wonderful food and wine, great service. It has been a favorite of the locals for many many years. The Steak Diane was superb. Also a nice small wine selection.
We had a very good time. The food was excellent. Our waitress was fantastic. Could not ask for a better night
