Got the Valentine's Day special for $55/person... Service was good, food was just OK and dessert was bought/frozen. Would've been OK for $30, not even close to a $55 meal :/

The atmosphere was very cozy. The Valentine's special was delicious.

Just shared a great meal with great friends at the a union Canal House. I had the freshly made crab cakes...delicious! My husband had the Del Monico...perfectly done for him. Everyone loved their food...desert was lemon marscapone cake...yummy. Friendly efficient service and delicious food at a reasonable price. Decorated very nicely for Valentine's day. Can't wait for our next visit!

I have one thing to say the owner is nothing but a drama queen. Will not ever go back. The food was good. But I do not like the drama.

Haven't been here in over three years due to a previous bad experience. Fast forward to this New year's eve our first time back with a group to celebrate. Walking in you couldn't get to the counter to check in. We did have a reservation for their 7'o'clock seating and you had to pre select you meal choice so you would think the dining experience would have went more smoothly. We got our own drinks at the bar and waited 40 minutes when we still didn't have a server we tried to talk to the owner who was not at all apologetic for the circumstances. She immediately tried to get us a server (it was the bartender). Our party was upset with the wait, lack of service and attitude of the owner that we left. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK.

We were at an afternoon concert at the Giant Center and while waiting for it to start I googled restaurants for a later dinner. This was the only one that had a time that was good for us. Made the reservation on Open Table and was not able to confirm until after the concert which ran longer than expected. Called to let them know we would be late and Deborah was very gracious and said she would hold reservation. Got there and was greeted and given a table. I chose the crab cakes and my wife chose the chicken parmigiana. Both meals were excellent and the crab cakes were some of the best I ever had. Although we live 2 hours from the restaurant I will definitely return.

The best hidden gem in Hershey! Located off the main Hersey drag but if your looking to beat the crowds and eat some great food you got to check out Union Canal. Don’t be fooled by the outside or it’s surroundings. Park your car and thank me later!

Came here for dinner with my husband and two young sons. It was 6pm on a Friday and we were seated immediately upon walking in. Driving up to the restaurant, we were a little hesitant as it’s kinda dark and off the beaten path. However once we walked in, our opinions changed completely. The restaurant, while empty, was wonderful. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the food was delicious. Not a big menu, but seasonal and made to order which I prefer. My husband had the filet and loved it. I had a salad and crab cake and we shared the bacon wrapped scallops. Everything was so good! And service was fast, friendly, and accommodating. Definitely a hidden gem worth visiting while in Hershey! Wish more people knew about it to share in the great experience we had!

Surprisingly! It was a little creepy looking outside. We are from the city and the quiet desolate location had us thinking twice. We walked in and were taken by surprise. The customer service was awesome and the FOOOOOD! was so good. The atmosphere remained us of a Hallmark movie. We sat by the fireplace and absorbed the moment.

Great food. Nice quiet spot for that special night out.

My wife and I shared the crab cakes and the filet. The filet was very good but the crab cakes were spot on. Jumbo lump crab with just the right amount of filler. A little spendy but a good experience none the less.

I’ve been here before over the last 10 years as it’s has changed owners and it has waxed and waned in quality. This time I took a business party of 9 people, the place was empty and despite this the service was slow as molasses and poor. It was Waiters third day and it showed, he didn’t offers appetizers, didn’t offer desert no help or mentorship from owner who basically did nothing. Not going back, do not recommend At the end they count fi no help no mentorship from owner

Our group had called ahead for 6pm reservations. When we showed up at 5:50pm and checked in, the manager said, "Oh no, your reservation is for 6:30pm." No problem; we are patient enough and ended up getting seated at 6:15pm.

Absolutely spectacular. Best homemade fall sangria that I have ever had - extremely refreshing. Fresh baked dinner rolls came out hot from the oven. Terrific cut of Delmonico done perfectly by the kitchen, homemade mashed potatoes. And the service was exceptional. We even got a last minute tour of this historic tavern. I highly recommend Union Canal House to anyone, and since I'm from out of town, I'll likely be returning for dinner again tomorrow night.
