Nate and his brother catered our end of season soccer banquet. The food was delicious, their service was excellent, and they were a pleasure to work with. They handled everything including clean up which allowed me to sit back and enjoy my evening celebrating my son and his teammates. I would highly recommend them for catering your event needs.

Ordered a pipeline and two coffees, menu price says $12 but the bill to my table was $20. I used to eat here and my bill was always around $10. Won’t be coming back at these prices

Ashley & Nate are by far the easiest & most caring people to have as your caterer! They go above and beyond to make your wedding day smooth & SO special! Our guests from our wedding still talk about how good the food was! Including desserts?! If we had to do it again, we would choose 230 Cafe over and over again!

Response to owner: It's okay, I don't need to speak with you because the charge cleared properly from my bank account. I heard talk of retirement when I was there and I believe it was for the server who waited on us, so I guess she was hoping to go out with a bang. As for trying to charge $9.95 for a "cheesesteak hoagie" (i.e., steak um served on a HOT DOG bun), that's on YOU. It was laughable. Best wishes, we won't be back.

P. S. Update your menu to accurately reflect the prices you're charging and the product customers will receive.

TLDR: they charged a higher price than what's on the menu and the server tried to add an unauthorized gratuity and sign the bill on my behalf.

My daughter and I stopped there for lunch based on the high Google rating. I ordered the cheesesteak hoagie and my daughter ordered a tossed salad. When my "cheesesteak" arrived, I was disappointed to find it was a very small amount of steak-um style meat served on a split-top HOT DOG bun. I asked the server if what I received was actually the "hoagie" and she said yes, it's a six inch hoagie. It may have been six inches, but it was NOT a hoagie. I was hungry though so I went ahead and ate it.

After receiving the bill, I noticed the price for the sandwhich was higher than the menu price. I went up to the counter and asked to see a menu to confirm, and yes, I was charged $2 more than what was on the menu. I pointed this out to the server and all she said was "ok" and printed out a new bill with $2 discount and I went back to the table. I wasn't sure of the payment process since the server didn't say she would take it when we were ready, so I went back up to the counter to pay. The server went by me twice without saying anything, so I returned to the table. She eventually came to the table with her handheld ordering device, which was also used for the payment. I gave her my card, and she didn't say anything, just started tapping things. I said "aren't you going to give me a receipt to sign? I saw you tap the 18% gratuity." She had also had drawn a squiggly line in the signature box.

She stammered and went behind the counter to talk to another person. I decided to go up and see what was happening since she still had my card. The server was telling the other person that I didn't want to add a gratuity and I interjected and said "no, you just added the 18% gratuity without my authorization." Neither of them acknowledged my presence and I continued to stand there. When they were finished, the server gave me a paid receipt and said something like "see, no gratuity," without offering an apology or acknowledgement of wrongdoing. Mind you, I wasn't planning NOT to tip, but the amount should have been MY decision, NOT the servers.

The higher amount charged is still pending in my bank account and the amount on the paid receipt hasn't posted yet, so we'll see how this plays out and if I need to take further action. I know places like this count on people not looking at their bills closely or asking for receipts, but PLEASE, do yourselves and others a favor and hold places like this accountable, especially since there were many elderly folks dining there and they are so often the victims of scams and fraud.

I got married at Melhorn Manor in Mount Joy, PA this past summer and loved having 230 Cafe as our caterer. Months before the wedding, my husband and I brought our parents to the Cafe to taste the different food options and everything was so great! During wedding planning, it was so easy to text/email Ashley if I had any questions and to make sure everything was what I wanted for the wedding day. We chose the Backyard BBQ package for the wedding and all the food was so delicious. We also chose two different types of pies and one sheet cake for dessert, and our guests loved it! I highly recommend 230 Cafe for wedding catering and would 100% choose them again. The owners are fantastic to work with!

My husband & I had the PLEASURE of working with Nate & Ashley & the rest of 230 staff for our wedding. I still talk to Ashley to this day. The food is delicious & fresh & the cake, specifically their peanut butter cake, is quite literally the best cake I’ve ever had. All of our friends & family still talk about the cake from our wedding & I have even gotten text messages asking if people can order the cakes to their house lol. I highly suggest stopping in their restaurant to eat AND hiring 230 to cater your wedding!!!

7 years later, and I still stand by my review. 230 Cafe is our "go to" place. With today's prices, we're not willing to chance a bad meal elsewhere, when we know the 230 will always be excellent. The homemade desserts are fresh, and the best. Breakfast all day. Plenty of food at good prices.

Always get a good meal here, at reasonable prices. Friendly and attentive staff, fresh baked desserts, good home cooking, with real ingredients. It's a place where locals go, and everyone knows your name.
