Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

This is one of our favorite Rita’s. The service is second to none. Our grandchildren loved it and can’t wait for us to bring them back. 5 STARS!

Great Service

Great variety of flavors.

They are finally open and I'm going back again already! I love the mango ice, and with the vanilla custards, it's absolutely divine. I'm sad they aren't open during the winter, but it's totally worth the wait every year, especially when that first visit of the spring comes and you finally get to enjoy ypur favorite flavor again!

I live right down the st so practically everyday after work I would go get a large gelati mainly wild black cherry and have had interactions with every single employee there almost everyday and NOT one of them was ignorant or rude or talked to me in any type of way but friendly and professional to me or to anyone else that I observed getting served there as well maybe the youngins that work there can learn to pack down their gelatos a little better lol but other then that it’s just rude people being treated same way they been treated.. Hope your opening back up soon I’m in need of some wild black cherry !!!!

My wife bought some quarts of ice and was treated so badly by the manager Sara and the employee working there it was disgusting. The manager actually told my wife that she was not welcomed at their location and that she can take her business elsewhere.
I am beyond disgusted and we will never come back so Sara you have succeeded in driving us away and I will make sure that all my family and friends know never to go to the Highspire location again.
I’m sure the owner Megan is happy she is losing business because of the very nasty and rude manager Sara and if you look at the other negative reviews you will see Sara come up a few times. Megan you need to fire her and get someone who is going to help your business not hurt it. Sorry for your loss Megan.

At 3:20pm Thursday 07/11/24 I had to ring bell for service. Then bang on the window. After saying hello, is anyone there and keeping my finger on bell for another minute. A total of 4 minutes a young woman came. I gave my order. Order was wrong. I simply asked for a cone added to the dish... she walked away 😲 An older lady comes to take my order. I said, so sorry to bother you folks. All she had to do was give us a cone along with the ice cream in a dish! REALLY FOLks. Isn't this customer service? The lady says. Sometimes it's the tone of the customer??? There were other customers behind me just as frustrated!! Whatever happened to good customer service and coming to the window when you ring the bell?

One of my favorite pastimes of hot summer afternoons is to enjoy Rita’s ice with my daughter, but that fortunately was ruined when one of the workers was extremely impolite to me and my daughter. We had only ordered three fairly simple items, but she had extreme attitude to me. When I went to pay she snatched the money out of my hands and when she gave me my change back, she nudged the tip jar. I did not place my change in because of the service, so she slammed the window and walked off. When I was given my ice cream, one of the gelatis was the wrong size. When I asked her about it she told me I was wrong so I showed her my receipt. Upon doing this she slammed the window AGAIN and hastily remade it. I asked her for her name and she told me it was Sara, but I wouldn’t doubt it if she gave me a wrong name. My daughter was upset and I am furious. I doubt I will be going again anytime soon if she is working, and if this keeps up I will be contacting whoever is in charge at Rita’s.

OH MY DAYS! I cannot believe this! Sara, THE MANAGER, was horrible to me and my two handicapped children!! I did not expect my glorious evening for decadent Italian ice to end in ruthless treachery. Sara, mark my words!!!!

Love it!

Still Terrible. Hadn't been here in awhile because of the bad service and quality last year. Figured it may have been a off day so we'd try it out this year. I asked for custard with sprinkles. It was too soft, and when I asked if they could put a bit more, the "Mgr" took it to the back and said she had to weigh it?! SMH. Ive been a loyal Ritas customer for years and never once had it "weighed." This is what it looked like when she brought it back and said there were no refunds. This location is petty and "selective about service." Will not be going back.
