This used to be one of if not my favorite place to go for drink and bite in SoCo. New ownership took over a last year. Prices up food quality down. The new owners have gained a reputation for being combative with their customers, especially the female owner. I’ve seen it twice now, also read the replies.. I also know they delete bad reviews from FB. Other places to eat and have a cocktail in the area, I’d recommend all of them except here… Really sad it was truly a fun place a few years ago.* I was just in the other day when I saw Ash was back. I’ve also been a patron for a decade. But your reply reflects the attitude so many speak of.

Was there the other day, owner was being very rude and combative to other customers. We will not be back. I've been to lots of restaurants and never seen an owner so rudely tell people to leave their establishment. I truly felt sorry for those customers. This lady is delusional. I was not part of that group. She also seems to have a retort for everything instead of actually admitting fault. We will def not be back.

Ok so I am not sure where to start here. First of all, I want to say, believe the negative reviews, regardless of what the owners or managers come on to say to save face about their restaurant. My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for over 40 years, we have a summer home here and always looked forward to going to our favorite place, High Knob. We would always get two large white pizzas and 2 dozen chicken wings that would be LOADED in sauce. Their Long Island iced teas were the best and I would always compare theirs to others and there was no comparison. With that being said, we decided to go last night. We were so heartbroken and disappointed. The place has new owners and they try to push their specials on you. We just wanted our usual and we couldn’t even get that. The young waitress was very nice but what confused us all, was that when we ordered our pizza, she said that they were out of pizzas, on a Saturday night??? We tried ordering other food but after the third time of being told that they were out of things, we became extremely frustrated. This place was known for its excellent pizza! What we got was a weird flat bread pizza, not even a full one, a half of one, and a small white pizza. My Long Island iced tea was subpar at best because they got rid of all their long time wait staff including the bartender. We looked forward to seeing our friends there and so did my daughter. The chicken wings were dry and barely had any sauce. I will include a picture lol. All I asked for was for more sauce, before we knew it, our waitress disappeared and we were confronted by angry Karen restaurant owner. She was rude, unprofessional, scared my daughter and basically saying we were wrong as customers when I explained that we were not happy with the food. She attempted to take back the wings that my daughter was actually eating and I said please just leave them. Now, she did then bring out a dozen of wings for us but gave us our check and told us to “see ourselves out” when we were finished. Then she had a gentleman ( maybe the other owner) check up on us to make sure we were leaving. He was actually nice. We did end up leaving and will never go back as long as that owner owns it. They would probably not let us back in anyways, but word of mouth travels fast and we do know a lot of people here. We will def be sure to tell them of our experience. We have no problem going else where. It’s just sad and disheartening to see a place that you hold so dearly in your heart be dissected and destroyed. The photo that I included, were the wings we were served. Barely any sauce. All we wanted was extra sauce ?‍♀️?‍♀️Edit:You’re very welcome, Karen. We were not being rude in any way. I guess if a customer complains about anything that’s a crime. Stop treating your customers like they are kids, and make sure you have enough supplies to make your customers happy. Guess constructive criticism isn’t in your vocabulary. Good luck on your business with that attitude . Your comments are being read by future customers ???

We stopped in Saturday night and had some great wings and a really good Flatbread pizza and of course some cold beer to go with it.

We had your ham and ricotta pizza tonight. Picked up yesterday, unbaked. It was awesome!! So nice to know you have good pizza. Hard to find in Sullivan County. Thank you!

The outside patio is nice. We ate inside because of the weather. I ordered a bake haddock and got a fried battered haddock. The waitress apologized for the mistake. I waited 40 minutes for the baked haddock. My husband was done his meal. We said just cancel my order and she brought it out in a to go box and gave 10% off on it. I was very disappointed.

Three stars: food keeps getting worse through the years. Service and local feel are always good. Can you guys PLEASE invest money in your pizza game? In the 80s it was sooo good. Now your food quality has dropped: canned veggies on pizza, cheap cheese, meh crust.Recommendation: make a stone oven, use SOUR DOUGH CRUST, get fresh veggies from local farmers. Make the kind of pizza’s people will travel from far and wide to eat.

Frozen food, not fresh, not hot. Long wait for service (though server was very nice). Would not go back

What a shame. The nice server was so overwhelmed and the kitchen was slow. Over 2hrs to get food that was subpar. The mngr/owner didnt have the courage to come over after our complaints. Get new management immediately. You should feel embarrassed.

4 of us tonight. I usually get wings or a pizza. Went with the haddock. It was seasoned with more of a lemon pepper which was to much for me. Easy enough to scrape it off. Husband enjoyed a steak.

The new outdoor patio is a neat place to mingle with friends. We are local to the area but still had a cool experience seeing a doe swim across the water while we were hanging out with friends. The menu has been updated/changed under the new ownership, along with many updates to the building itself. Be sure to give High Knob a try when visiting Sullivan County!

Better than expected. For rural restaurant very nice. Great looking outdoor patio, threre’s a small lake the outdoor space overlooks. The food was above average. We would return there even though it’s quite a drive ??
