Speaking from someone who’s been going there for years. We always enjoyed El campesino, they had great management and servers, our favorite was the manger named Alyssa but our last 2 experiences were not the same. The servers told me they could not accommodate my meal how i asked and I’ve been getting it the same exact way for the last 3 years. Sooo sad to say we will be taking our appetite else where. Maybe we will check back and see if things have picked up back how they used to be.

Great place to go before or after a movie or before or after the Improv! Their Ceviche is my favorite.

noo bro dont eat here... your dollar is worth more than flavorless ground beef when you're expecting steak !! 😭 never like to leave negative reviews but the price is so not worth it. guac is just chunky tomato and onion- basically browning when served. it might be a comfort place for some people, but it really was a disappointment. man the old el paso tacos were not what i was expecting 3 best part was the chips n salsa😭

Shady establishment. I went for dinner and paid via Apple Pay so I never took the card reader from the waiter. He asked if I wanted a receipt and I said no and he walked away. Not thinking anything of it, I left. The next day I get a notification that my total has been updated. It was $13.58 more than it was supposed to be. Which means they added another tip to the total. Too bad I can’t go take back the cash tip I paid. Never again will I go back. There were also flies everywhere. On the plus side the food wasn’t bad.

this place had some of the most delicious Mexican food we have ever had. The rice was so moist and fluffy.
I’m updating my review from 5 stars to 1 star after a very disappointing experience last week. I’ve been a regular customer for years, and this visit left me feeling disrespected and frustrated.
As someone with a gluten allergy, I always order the shrimp fajitas and eat my meal in a particular sequence—first the beans, then salad, rice, and finally the shrimp. This time, when I got to the shrimp fajitas, they were completely burnt—blackened to the point that I had to spit out the first bite into a napkin. I immediately called the waiter, who was very polite and offered to make a new order. Since we had a reservation for the Marvel movie, I declined and simply asked for the shrimp fajitas to be removed from the bill, which he did without hesitation.
Unfortunately, what happened next is what truly ruined the evening. A manager came over and, in a rude and condescending tone, told me: “I’ve taken the shrimp fajitas off your bill, but next time you need to tell us right away if they’re burnt.” Her tone made it sound like I was trying to cheat the system, and she said this in front of my wife and sons. I found it completely inappropriate, especially given the fact that the burnt part was underneath the shrimp and vegetables—something I wouldn’t notice until I got to that part of the meal, like I always do.
After being a loyal customer for years, I expected to be treated with respect, not suspicion. The way the manager handled this was demeaning and unacceptable. This was my last visit. You’ve lost a regular customer. Best of luck hiring a more respectful and professional manager.
I loved tacos de carne asada and Fish tacos..perfect!!
We loved El Campesino's and were regulars there pretty much every week. But at our recent dinner outing, for four of us, the waiter added a 30% gratuity on the bill. We've never had a gratuity added for 4 people, especially here. It was 2 adults and 2 kids. We never got a second round of drinks, so the waiter only brought the drinks and someone else brought the food. I was shocked. We tip well, especially for good service but to do that we felt was a bit much. It will not be our go to anymore.

We brought a large group to El Campesino during a busy time, and were incredibly impressed by the service. Despite the crowd, the manager Alyssa went out of her way to accommodate us immediately and made sure everything went smoothly. Her attentiveness truly elevated our experience. The food was also excellent—fresh, flavorful, and served promptly. Highly recommend!
This was our first time going here for dinner, we had previously stopped in for drinks. Service wasn't great, sat with empty beers several times even after the dinner rush was over. The food presentation was lousy and the taste wasn't much better. Not even sure what the Mrs got but it wasn't good, I had the beef and chicken burrito and the meat tasted like taco bell. Very disappointed.

Food was really good but this little thing of guac was $8.75. Server recommended it before we looked at the menus. If we saw that price never would have gotten it. Everything else was great. Do recommend

Great restaurant! I used to live in Texas and actually this is better than any of the Mexican restaurants I experienced down there.

They kept telling me my card declined and I just got paid today. I waited 30 minutes here all to be turned away. I went next door to the jape was place and my card went through. And I was on break at work.
