“Having recently visited Puerto Rico, I was curious if I would be able to find a place locally that could live up to everything I had during my time in PR before my next trip. Pittsburgh has a lot of great restaurants, but very few Puerto Rican restaurants. Secretos De Mis Abuelos far exceeded my expectations. We had the Mofongo Rellenos con Pollo Guisad, Rice & Beans, the best Tostones, AND, the best Tres Leches cake I ever had! (Not hyperbole. Full stop.) I can't remember the last time I had a meal that brought me so much joy. This place is an absolute love letter to the food and culture of Puerto Rico, and if you've never had the opportunity to experience it, I strongly suggest you stop sleeping on it. I wish these folks nothing but success, and I am looking forward to my next visit already - to Puerto Rico and SDMA. 🇵🇷”

“My server was Vic, they had alot of heathy options if not all. The people there were very friendly and welcoming and i loved the flavors of the smoothies and juices.

“Puzzle solving to get in makes it even more fun to hit up. High end spirits at a fair price. Asked for multiple drinks off menu and they were excited to accommodate my requests. One in particular was not available (Corpse Reviver No. 2) as one of the ingredients is exceptionally difficult to procure through the PA system. The alternative request was available (Paper Plane) and we topped off the night with a smoked Old Fashion. Trust me, ask for one. Coolest vibe around.”

“The best place for silcian pizza. You can get from 1 to 50+ slices any way you like. Made fresh in front of you. Excellent crust, tasty sauce. Toppings many to choose from. I have been going there over 30 years. Always quality.
Only take out. No place to sit in side. Some seating outside.”

“I’ve been meaning to try this place for a little while now and finally got around to it, with a friend of mine. The place itself is lovely, very clean, lots of open space, and lovely staff. I got to try their classic latte with skim milk (I think, or some plant based milk) and my friend had their super fruit tea.

I regret not being a bit more adventurous with my order, but it was a very solid latte nonetheless. Great portion, great art, very creamy despite it not being whole milk.

My friend was a little disappointed with their fruit tea. Portion seemed to be noticeably smaller by a good bit. There was an option to sweeten it that they opted not to do and probably should have done!

All in all, very nice spot in Homestead. There’s even a little place to get water. Definitely recommend this coffee shop.”

“Well, went to Storming Crab in homestead, pa. I was so disapointed. First I ordered a drink. Cranberry and top shelf vodka. Came with no vodka, plain cranberry. People at the bar said they didn't make that drink?? It took over 20 min for the girl to take our food order, which took another 20 min to get and when it came no ketchup or tartar sauce. So waited for condiments which never came, in the meantime we were done eating and another member of our party still hadn't received his seafood boil. Still no tartar sauce, shrimp very cold, now the seafood boil comes. Still no tartar sauce. So they cold shrimp was taken off the bill. I don't understand the time span, looks like they need more workers. Just too slow. I'm not going to give them another chance, first impression last impression plus corn was ordered and told Jazlyn was missing, never got it. With this service this place won't be here long.”
