Really disappointed they changed the menu to just pizza and bread sticks, they use to have some good food, and charge you for the ice in a mixed drink, I had a Manhattan. Sorry we won't be back
100 on my list of breweries visited, and ENIX has become one of my new national favorites, and 1st on the list for Pittsburgh area.
Three and a half stars. Food and beers are decent. A bit expensive though. The do have live music and bowling alleys
I'm ALWAYS happy to spend money in venues that host live jazz regardless of food/bev/pricing but rest assured, I won't drop a cent at this place. The venue cancelled a show literally hours before the event was set to occur, putting a group of high-caliber local jazz musicians (and a world-class singer who'd traveled from New Orleans) out of a gig. The business is operating with little transparency on their Facebook page, deleting and screening comments that are critical of this particular incident. Should the venue rectify the situation appropriately, I'm sure many in the Pittsburgh jazz community would be open to patronizing the place again.
Good beer, great food and a bowling alley upstairs! Enjoyed myself both times I've been here. Will be back for sure.
We had a surprise birthday party at the bowling alley at Enix Brewing Company and it was a very successful and enjoyable time. The service, the food, and the entire experience with the bowling was second-to-none. The bread sticks and the flatbreads were delicious and you can tell that they used fresh ingredients. All of the beers were also very good. The homemade cake that their pastry chef made was also delicious and was liked by all of the guests. If you are looking for a great place which offers great food, good beers or good entertainment; then look no further than Enix Brewing Company.
Ok - so I have no idea how the food is, but I won't be back. We have been sitting in the restaurant for 1 1/2 hours and have not seen the waitress in an hour. When we did see her it was because my wife stood by the kitchen until she came out.
Excellent service & nice patio outside. Very good flatbread pizza.
Pretty solid beers, clean space. Definitely coming back and bowling soon!
Excellent beers at great prices for Pittsburgh! Tried most of their beers & all are solid good brews, especially the MadRed red ipa. The food looks awesome, especially the flatbreads. A really comfortable space with good service. Highly recommend!

This place was very modern looking. Very nice. The service we had was good but we were at the bar so I cannot attest to the service on the floor. My husband ordered the Red beer and said it was good. I got their home made ginger ale and it was delicious. I ordered the spinach Cesar salad and it was perfect. It was not drowning in dressing so if you prefer a lot of dressing you'll have to ask for extra. My husband ordered the brisket sandwich and said the flavor was amazing but the meat was not "melt in your mouth" like brisket should be and the bun was hard. We also ordered the tortilla with potatoes and onions. It was flavorless. No spices at all...not even salt and pepper. However when my husband added their special sauces he said it tasted better. When we go next time we are going to try the pizza because the guy sitting next to us ordered one and it looked and smelled amazing.
The restaurant portion of Enix brewery is kinda small, so if you plan to go here on a weekend for dinner plan to go a bit early. The Mad Red IPA was pretty decent, as was the ginger ale. I had a brisket sandwich that was more like a tough roast beef sandwich. The sandwhich was flavor packed, but not the melt in your mouth brisket I was hoping for. The sourdough bread was pretty tough as well but the flavor was still pretty decent. My wife had a salad that she really liked, and also like the ginger ale. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The reason for the low score was mainly the price vs quality of the food. For what I paid I would expect more. I am going to give Enix a second chance and try the pizza. While my wife and I finished up dinner, a customer next to us ordered a meat lovers pizza that smelled amazing. Overall if you are looking to try some good beer though this would be a decent hangout.
Nice atmosphere. Portion sizes of the entrees and appetizers that my guests ordered were small for the price. Guests and I had to reorder bc entrees were not available. They only had one brand of tequila. The oxtail I ended up ordering after my initial order was canned was delicious. I want to see this place succeed, and I'm hoping that the owners reconsider price points and can make sure that entrees on the menu are available.
I think they just need a little more time to make the Sunday brunch thing work. The food was above average quality and the menu had interesting choices, but the prep was a little off....eggs overdone and dry, breakfast pizza soggy. The wait service was spotty unfortunately which slowed things up a bit and left us without drinks at times. Good beer choices and offering 1/2 pints for $2.50 was a real plus.
Enix Brewing Company is a great place! They make incredible beers, & delicious food. The staff is polite, professional & knowledgeable, & the costs are about average for what you receive.
