Soulful Flavor & Stellar Service
I ordered the steak and cheese egg rolls, collard greens, honey cornbread, and a Pineapple Mango drink--and every bite was a hit. The egg rolls were generously stuffed, perfectly crispy, and paired with a dipping sauce that was downright addictive. Meaty, cheesy, and satisfying.
The collard greens were a standout. The pot liquor was rich and savory without being overwhelmed by vinegar, which is a rare and welcome surprise. As for the honey cornbread--finally, cornbread that tastes like cornbread! Not a slice of yellow cake in disguise, but a true, honey-kissed classic.
The Pineapple Mango drink was light, refreshing, and just sweet enough. No syrupy aftertaste, just clean tropical flavor.
Kay was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the space was spotless. Smooth R&B played in the background, setting the perfect laid-back vibe while I waited for my food.
I'll absolutely be a repeat customer. The prices were on point and better than any fast-food restaurant.

The greens brought me back when I was a child to the point that you want to order just the juice I must come back there for some more greens and that mac and cheese makes me want to slap my mama sorry Mama let's not forget about the egg rolls nice stuff egg rolls šššš and if you're feeling thirsty try her fresh maid lemonade trust me it's to die for but please don't literally die because then you won't try the lemonade

Everything was over cooked or tasted old had steak and a buffalo chicken egg rolls that were fried to hard and a salmon patty with fries the sauce that was put in there spilled all over my fries and salmon which I didn't care for also had yams and macaroni and cheese and the potato salad was darn near like lumpy mashed potatoes which i never seen and to vinegary none of taste fresh either as a first timer very disappointed

Food was very good. I ordered macaroni greens and wings. Everything was seasoned wel and cooked perfectly. Only thing I didnāt like is the chicken wing taste like they were fried in fish grease. I personally donāt like fish so I didnāt like that but aside from the fish taste the chicken was still crispy and seasoned well. But the owner!!! She is so kind!! Her customer service is impeccable. I will definitely be going back!

I tired to do that Feb 28th blackout crap and not spend no money I went to a black owned restaurant I pulled up at 5:55 ordered my food at 6:00 I didnāt leave the restaurant until 7:30 thatās when my food got done I got all the home they forgot my yams and my onion rings I called them back and the lady told me to come back and get my items once I got there I had to wait another 30 minutes so now Iām annoyed once I get my food I check the bag Iām like ok she threw some pound cake in there for the inconvenience I look at the pound cake itās store bought so Iām instantly mad I get all the way home thinking this food is gonna be fire it smelled good when I pulled up to the place first off Mac and cheese tasted like they put pepper Jack cheese or Tostitos spicy queso mixed In it and the yams had pears in it and the greens was so salty they could of gave me high blood pressure then the fried chicken wings could been good if they seasoned the wings they had a nice crunch on them but they only put seasoning on top of the wings and my kids burgers was half way done I was highly disappointed I spent $65 bucks but the people was nice tho

Extremely rude to probably everyone not just white people. We have to learn not to pass on generational trauma as this said āwomanā is extremely ignorant and that comes from lack of knowledge. She moves with absolutely zero urgency and that shows a lot about her customer service. I shouldāve read the reviews because the food was absolutely terrible. It definitely wasnāt made the same day like they claim as my muffin was as stiff as her cheating husband. I waited 36 minutes while she fulfilled 3 door dash orders that hadnāt arrived yet. When asked how long my wait would be she copped a stereotypical attitude amc acted in her victim mentality ways. If I can save someone from some poor service and attitude, my job as reviewer will be all worth it.
I know if you do respond, itāll be the same script you give everyone else, so donāt bother as it shows your effort towards your clients and your lack of creativity. I give this business less than 4 years before they run out of their loan. Donāt ask me how I know

This is the worst soul food I have ever tasted. Instead of having a soul food restaurant change it to a Jamaican restaurant because the people cooking the food are from Jamaica.
