One of the best dining experiences in the area! The ambiance, service and food were all top notch! The marinated octopus and white bean appetizer was tender and delicious. The venison osso bucco was served over a dreamy cauliflower puree. A lot to choose from drinks to dessert!

We love Honesdale and the Native. So surprising the quality of food and service. We now live in Las Vegas and feel that the Native could compete with any restaurant there. Brocolini Caesar salad, butternut squash ravioli, roasted chicken, prime rib! Wow!! The a brownie alamode for desert, glad we shared everything. So yummy and such an unusual place.

My wife and I went here on Valentine’s Day. It was one of the finest eating experiences of my life. We both loved the food, service/hospitality, menu variety and creativity. Every dish blew me away in terms of sheer deliciousness and complexity. The vegetarian options are incredible and worth getting. The charred Caesar is a game changing meal and it’s worth driving to this place alone to eat it. And it’s not even the best thing on the menu.Worth an hour or two drive (or more honestly) to experience it.Vegetarian options: Delicious veggie food that blows away anything I’ve ever had.Dietary restrictions: Amazing selection of gluten free and veggie options. They were delicious.

The nicest restaurant in town, in my opinion. Consider ordering a bunch of small plates. The food is great. The cocktails are great. Try the venison tartare to start and a banana boulevardier for dessert. It’s always a good idea to call ahead for a reservation.

I've been here many times. Every meal has been delicious. Menu changes seasonal. Everything is locally sourced. Drinks are very good they have a bar but small. The kitchen is dead center for you to watch them prepare your cuisine. Better make reservations. We always go mid-week and are still very busy. It's a little pricey but worth it.Parking: Free street parking after 6pm

Lovely place for a family birthday dinner! Server was great, handled our multi generational table of eight with ease. Full of cheer and strong opinions - she did not steer us awry, was super enthusiastic about our birthday celebrant and showed up with cheesecake with a candle! I had the short rib Mac and cheese which was delicious but kind of overwhelming. My bad, since I had already filled up with the excellent toasty bread and butter, crispy potatoes and beets with creamy goat cheese - all of which were fantastic- before the pasta arrived. Everything was plated beautifully and with care, was super fresh and tasty. The kale and charred Cesar were also simple but scrumptious Others at the table managed to save room for desert and commented that they had "the best pudding of my life" and other equally superlative things - by that point I had already collapsed gratefully in a food coma, so can't speak for myself but these folks are very discerning in the desert department to I take their words with utmost seriousness
