We began our meal with a delicious and beautifully presented cheese board. The nightly special was a barbecue platter with ribs and pulled pork. My husband said it was good but would have been better with more spices. He loved the sweet potato fries. I had the cheesesteak sandwich which is huge. It was good but I was surprised that the mushrooms and onions were ground up with the meat instead of being served on top. Service was friendly and efficient.
We came to the Iron Abbey to celebrate a birthday. The hostess was friendly and the waiter came right to our table despite the crowd. The charcuterie selection was fresh and we particularly liked the pistachio butter that was served along with the meats and cheeses. The waiter recommended the pork chop and I’m glad he did. It was cooked perfectly and enough so that I had leftovers. The Iron Abbey is a good spot for dinner or just drinks and snacks. The atmosphere is comfortable...
