King Kone is by far my favorite ice cream stop! The serving sizes are very generous for the prices! There are plenty of options if you are looking for soft serve, hand dipped, sundaes, or other treats! It can get busy, but it's worth the wait. There is a drive-thru, a walk-up window, or you can go inside. There is parking and outdoor seating!

the food was super good, i got take out and the ice cream was super tasty and filling, get a small!! trust me it will give you a stomach ache. the fruit was very fresh and warm, i got size regular banana pudding and it was super filling but it didn’t have real banana in it, it tasted artificial. other than that i recommend this place. there was a menu item that you could’ve gotten 10 scoops of ice cream! $30 for 4 ice creams and a mountain dew, in my opinion super cheap for being in Harrisburg. forgot to mention they have a drive through, and ur able to sit outside or go in!!

"King Kone Creamery, 182 Hershey Rd. Hummelstown, Follow-up, July 8. Fail. The Person in Charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection. Two female food employees were observed changing tasks that may have contaminated hands without a proper hand-wash in-between. Observed two employee beverages on the counter where the brownies are held and take out containers are placed. Educated and corrected on sight. Observed two female employees and one male employee in the prep/serve area not wearing proper hair restraints, such as hair nets or hats. Two female food employees were observed grabbing a napkin with an unwashed/ungloved hand and grabbing a cone with this napkin and dispensing ice cream and then handing to the consumer. Observed a tray of chocolate covered waffle cones in the Insignia single door upright freezer in the prep/assembly area, stored with no covering. Observed food ingredient storage containers, in the prep/assembly area, is not labeled with the common name of the food. Any foods removed from their original packaging and placed into other containers must be labeled with the common name of the food. Observed spoons stored in toppings inside the three door Beverage Air cooler with the handles of the spoons touching the food. Observed numerous wet wiping cloths in the prep/serve area, not being stored in sanitizer solution. Observed a case of cones stored directly on the floor near the front service window area, rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required. Observed numerous food items (commercially processed and food prepared in the food facility) in the three door Beverage Air under counter cooling unit, and being held for more than 24 hours, is not date marked with the date it was opened or made. Sponges observed in the three bay sink area being used to clean food contact surfaces. Loose/deteriorated rubber door gaskets observed on the Beverage Air cooling unit middle door and in need of repair. Observed silver tape on two handles of the ice cream freezer units and in need of repair or replacement. Observed the following on food contact surfaces: Metal cone shaper near the waffle maker counter with dried food debris and was not clean to sight or touch. Observed a scraper/brush in the drawer under the waffle maker with accumulation of waffle debris and is not being cleaned daily/as used. This scraper brush is coming in contact with the waffle maker, which is a food contact surface and is now contaminated. Observed a black handled manual can opener with dried food debris on the blade and handle, stored in the drawer under the waffle maker area. Two white containers with food contact items stored on a shelf next to the three bay sink area with accumulation of food debris inside and coming in contact with utensils stored. Observed two cloth curtains with dried food debris and dirt on the curtains and being touched by employees when going between rooms. Observed the floor drain under the three bay sink area with a pink/brown/black mold-like substance and in need of cleaning. Observed the interior of the Cadco Unox table top oven with accumulation of black charred food debris on the bottom and is not clean to sight or touch. Observed single-service, single-use articles stored in back dry storage area area directly on the floor, and not 6 inches above the floor. Observed spatulas, spoons, whisks stored on a shell at the back dish area, not inverted. The food facility does not maintain Food Employee Certification records as required. Posted ServSafe Certification expired in 2020. At last inspection, facility was given until the 30th of June to complete a new certification, which was not completed. Old unused equipment stored in back dry storage area and the shelving by the three bay sink area, should be removed from food facility. Mops are not being hung to air dry."

If ice cream had no calories, I would be here every week all summer long. Indoor ice cream shops SMELL like ice cream shops. The shops that have walk-up service may have good ice cream, but they can't provide that amazing sensual experience of smelling waffle cones and hot fudge. King Kone provides that. Don't drive through! Go inside. Your nose will thank you.

Great spot to stop on your way in or out of Hershey. Whether it's a game night celebration, a cool down from a hot day, or a sweet treat just because, this is a good place to stop. They have a good selection of hand dipped ice cream, as well as soft serve that can have custom flavors, sundaes, and more.
Staff is always friendly, even when there are lines inside, outside, and at the drive-through! :-)
Love the newer seating area out back.
Some things that could be better: - flavors for the soft serve sometime leave an aftertaste because they are artifical. Not sure the brand/type, but the "added" flavors sometimes cause an acid stomach or rift of the flavor later. More natural flavorings would be fantastic. - honey sweetened ice cream like Urban Churn would be an amazing offering in the hand-dipped case!. :-)

Cookies and Cream and Strawberry Cheesecake was delicious, Mango Italian Ice, and Midnight Caramel were just what we needed to cap our evening. There is seating inside and out, we found a table inside, as all the outdoor tables were taken. We enjoyed the cool comfort inside on a hot day and signage and decor. Kudos to the courteous staff.

By far the best ice cream in the area. They have a wide variety of ice cream options, flavors, and specialities. The customer service is pretty good for drive thru, walk up window ordering, and inside ordering. There is a playground for the kiddos and outdoor seating around the building. Very kid friendly. Servings are actually pretty big. Only downside is they’re only open during the summer time but they are always busy because of how good it is. Definitely a must try if you haven’t already done so. Wife and I are huge ice cream enthusiasts and this is the place we take our friend and family when they come to visit Hershey area.
Kid-friendliness: Playground included and theme is cute for the kiddos.
