When we are in the Hershey area we always love to eat at the “Soda Jerk” . It is a classic 1950’s diner in Hummelstown PA . Just a few minutes drive from Hershey . Huge menu . Everything is great , the food, decor , and service are always perfect . We love coming here !
Beautiful scenery, amazing service
Unfortunately, the cake was full of MOLD in the middle of winter. No idea how long it had been sitting there. This isn’t just not fresh, it’s UNSAFE!

Salad was wilted. They didn’t have steak and eggs, a diner staple. Don’t waste your time.

Have been here several times. Yesterday might have been our best experience. We stopped for breakfast before going to the AACA Museum. The Soda Jerk omelette was killer! My wife enjoyed her Benedict as well. Service was pristine. The fresh coffee kept coming. Clean retro restaurant. Will visit more often in the future.
Neat little restaurant, food was amazing.

What a fantastic menu! The k7ds got exactly what they wanted and so did the adults. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner foods along with ice creams , sodas and milkshakes. Prices are reasonable and portions are huge! We loved the old time nostalgia. Service was very attentive with lots of staff. The owner greets you as you walk in the door. If we lived close by, it would be our go-to place!

Seated and served quickly, even on a busy late Sunday morning. Ordered the marinated chicken breast dinner special over sautéed veggies with 2 sides. The chicken was moist, the veggies weren’t overcooked.
I stopped in this quaint little diner hoping for some good old diner experience. Unfortunately I was left waiting for a waitress for a bit and once I was able to order. I order ed the special of the day for dinner (5:30 pm). You would think they still had some left…you would be mistaken. To compound the error they failed to tell of their lack of special for approximately 25 minutes. The cook then informed my waitress of the lack of the special and my waitress then informed me after sitting in my both salivating for about 35 minutes. I had to reorder something I really didn’t want. (Chicken Marsala with Cole slaw side instead of Greek chicken). The Marsala was good but not what I really wanted and the Cole slaw was drowning in sauce/dressing. Atmosphere I give the place an 8.5, food a 6.0, service (due to the lack of communication) a 2.0. My waitress was excellent and made sure my 2nd order came out in a hurry. This was not a shining moment for the Soda Jerk Diner
Stopped by with some friends while we were in Hershey for the weekend. Food was amazing, and the staff was super friendly! Definitely plan to come by again next time I'm in the area!!

Friendly neighborhood diner. I've had dinner and breakfast here and it's exactly what you'd expect from a diner. Food is good, service is warm and friendly. Seating is open so during a busy hour it may be a little loud. I'm happy to recommend them. I'll be back at some point.

Nice place to eat. Service was good but they forgot about us a few times. Like refill for coffee or if we need anything. Can't complain about the food. It was good. Good portion.
