Hershey Lodge promises a memorable stay in the heart of Hershey, but my experience left much to be desired. While there are certainly some positives, several critical shortcomings mean I cannot recommend this property. Check-In and Restaurants Upon arrival, the check-in area immediately sets a positive tone. Staff are welcoming and efficient, and the lobby space is well maintained—an inviting start to the stay. The on-site restaurants also stand out as a major plus. The food quality is solid, the variety is impressive, and service is attentive, adding an enjoyable aspect to the overall experience. Rooms and Hallways Unfortunately, the impression quickly declines once you move beyond the public spaces. The guest rooms and hallways feel extremely dated, with décor and carpeting reminiscent of a funeral home—somber and uninviting. Externally, the building’s appearance evokes the look of section 8 housing rather than a resort, which is both disappointing and misleading based on the lobby’s first impression. The contrast between the common areas and the accommodations themselves is stark. Location and Shuttle Service Prospective guests should be aware that Hershey Lodge is located over two miles from Hersheypark. While the hotel does offer a shuttle, transportation is far from convenient. With traffic, the ride can take up to 45 minutes, although typical travel time hovers around 20 minutes. At peak times—especially at park closing or first thing in the morning—waits for the shuttle can extend to 20-30 minutes. This logistical inconvenience adds unnecessary stress to what should be a relaxing visit. Additional Concerns My room was situated directly outside the designated smoking area, which meant that each evening was accompanied by the distinct smell of smoke drifting into the room. To make matters worse, conversations from smokers gathered outside continued well past midnight, disrupting any hope of restful sleep. Overall Impression While Hershey Lodge may boast appealing common spaces and good dining options, the dated and uninspiring rooms, inconvenient location, and noise/smoke issues overshadow these positives. Based on my experience, I can only give Hershey Lodge a 2-star rating. I would not recommend staying here, especially considering the many alternatives available in the area.
The bed has no fitted sheet, instead they use a regular sheet and it's not long enough to tuck it in. All night long the sheet will move and expose the plastic mattress pad. Spoke to the staff and I was told there is nothing they could do. 2700 dollars for 6 nights and they cant afford a fitted sheet.
Dining at Revelry during peak season is much different than visiting in the off season. The last time we visited it was quiet and intimate. The service was spot on and the food was great! The plating was done well and there just seemed to be more attention to detail. Our visit yesterday was much different. It sounded like a school cafeteria for grown ups. Drunk moms and dads yelling and laughing back and forth. We got to sit in the corner right behind the table of 20. They were harshing my wife's mellow with there non stop partying. The service wasn't completely stellar. Our steaks came out without steak knives. We had to saw through our ribeyes with table knives. Our waitress noticed and was not happy with her colleagues. Even though it was incredibly loud, did enjoy our meals. We will be back when the crowds die down.
Excellent service. High quality food. Very very enjoyable experience!!! Love every minute of our dinner.
Tim was a very good waiter, knowledgeable and provided good insight on the menu The food was delicious. Had Filet Mignon and the Delmonico Ribeye. Both cooked perfectly and no extra seasoning needed. Sides were good as well as dessert!
Best restaurant of the Hershey Hotels in IMO. appetizers, cocktails, steaks were fantastic. Service was great. really enjoyed our dinner.
Excellent food and service. Had the filet and wedge salad - all perfect! Had a dark chocolate martini for dessert - highly recommend!!!
One of the best, if not the best dining experiences in Hershey. Food quality was amazing, service was outstanding, and the ambience was very nice.
Excellent food and service. At a table of five and waitress was so helpful with everything. Excellent meal overall.
Service and food were great. It was loud in the restaurant, but I understand that in a resort town with an amusement park.

We enjoyed a lovely anniversary dinner at Revelry last evening. Two of us ordered the petite filet mignons which were tender, perfectly done as ordered, and the butter blue cheese sauce was the perfect one to choose. My husband ordered the fish special which was accompanied by shrimp risotto. The fish was outstanding, but the risotto was a disappointment and was left on the plate. Our other friend ordered a different steak (unsure which one), but he was delighted. Sides are ordered separately and should be shared. We ordered two sides for the four of us and there was left over. We ordered the Brussel sprouts and the roasted forest mushrooms and both were excellent. As for service, our waitress, Andrea, and the bartender (?) Ashley were excellent!
The food was amazing. The service was great. We were not rushed through our dinner. It got a little noisy as a large table with 5 children came in. But all in all it was a good experience.
We love Revelry. A really nice chophouse with good service and food. Ambience is great. Value is very good for a high end steakhouse in a hotel.
A little more than I wanted to spend, but Jim was fabulous and so was the dinner so I guess it was worth it! I had the filet and scallop soup and my granddaughter had salmon and shrimp cocktail. Paired mine with a glass of Malbec and it was the perfect dinner.
This is our second time coming to Revelry. Everything was amazing our first time there so we decided to come back for my husband's 36th birthday. We ordered crispy Brussels sprouts, lamb lollipops, chophouse salad (small), 16 oz. Certified Angus Kansas City Strip cooked medium with a side of asparagus and mashed potatoes. Brussels were delicious but our lamp lollipops looked like it was boiled, not seared, with more fat than actual meat for the price and angus steak was also not seared but also tough for “medium” cooked. The chophouse salad looked like it came out of an Walmart salad kit with poor present. Asparagus was bland and our mashed potatoes never came out. We had asked for it to be taken off the bill which they forgot to do even though we asked earlier. Also I had a special event which was listed and they didn't acknowledge until we had asked for the bill which was fine but for the price the bill came out to, our experience was poor and our food was a huge disappointment. No knock our server, he was kind and was trying his best.
