Boxer's has been open for 35 years; there's a good reason. It's a friendly place, welcoming to all. It's a comfortable, historic building, with a stone backbar and tile mosaic floor. They serve great draft beer, always have. Great sandwiches, with some very good vegetarian options. And there's fresh-baked pie, at a bar: how cool is that?

Went to Boxers for the first time. Quirky restaurant in a historic row home location. All the food was freshly made. Pretty busy on a Friday night with people waiting for a table. It’s small and bustling inside, menu mostly if sandwiches and bar food. The waitress was very fast and brought the food out right away. Overall I really liked it & I’m glad we went. People of all ages were there. The music is on the loud side so someone with poor hearing would really struggle with a conversation.

It's okay. Food was honestly nothing special. Hot and came out fast but little to no flavor for the most part. Everything needed some salt, and I hate salt... Got the Pastrami and Swiss, again just meh, very thin sandwich, three maybe 4 slices of meat one slice of cheese and a small squirt of mustard. Felt like a school lunch sandwich. Fries came out hot and crispy but again little to no flavor on them. Beer battered tenders were probably the worst, just tasted like grease. Tried the onion rings 2/10. And for what you got, it was pretty pricey, the entrees had no sides. Loved the music but wayyy to loud for a pub / dive bar. Felt like they were at night club level volume... and the worst of alll.... PAPER STRAWS!.... like I get it, turtles and stuff, but ew lol...

Now the positives, waitress was fast attentive and had a pleasantness to her!

Boxer's is one of those cool random hole in the wall places that has spectacular food and atmosphere. I had been there a few years ago and it was great then and still great now. Definitely a place to visit in you're in the area.

Had the chicken-zucchini cheese sandwich - delicious! Super cool vibe. Lots of different beers in the fridge and a good draft selection, too. Loved the local feel and decor!

Cozy place with friendly service and tasty food. This was my second time here. I enjoyed the crab stuffed mushrooms and split pea soup.

The place was okay I mean it slow old school but I mean it's kind of what you would expect from an older dive bar it's not very big the bartender was a nice guy and you know whenever my drink was done you know he refilled it almost instantly the food was okay wasn't anything special my biggest issue was there was only three tables in there yet it took 30 minutes from my food to come out I mean that's to me that is too long when you only have to serve three tables and none of them were more then four people then when our food was finally done it sat there for 5 to 10 minutes before the bartender actually went and got it it wasn't even hot at that point

Charming, cozy cafe. Loved the 90s music!
I got the reuben, peasant soup (tomato, potato, dill) and fries. The fries are a must! Reuben is as good as any. I love them all. The soup was great.
It's a bit cramped inside (I didn't mind but I know it's helpful info).
Service was excellent.

Please understand that my review is based on the fact that you are in Huntingdon, PA and this hippie hideout has been doing their thing for a long time. Music is retro and a little edgy (All them witches: Cowboy Kirk, Ghost of vroom: Slipping off your wrist), I remember reading a review that said "food was meh"! Sue and I experienced the opposite. Show up with out any expectations and enjoy yourself. For what it is and for what it is trying to be, they are 5 star in both categories.
