My parents took me to Nick's Diner in Huntingdon, PA a few times in the Summer of 2021. For the most part, it's a decent local restaurant with a vibrant and clean exterior reminiscent of a 1950's Diner (especially the black and white checkered floor tiles and neon lights at the register). The menu consisted of your typical diner entrees, I had a cheeseburger with fresh lettuce and tomatoes on it! Great stuff!However, I was quick to notice there was only one staff member in the entire restaurant, an elderly woman named Lola. She does a good job keeping the diner operating, but I can't help but wonder if she ever gets overwhelmed with doing nearly everything, especially on busy days where there are multiple hungry customers!On top of that, the lack of additional staff takes what could be a fun and nostalgic dining experience and instead turns it into a lonely, quiet, and listless one. Part of that was because we stopped here while I was coming home from a two-week vacation and was sad about leaving all the new friends I met during that time.Overall, Nick's Diner is a decent eatery, but has the potential to be something incredible! I think if they hired more staff members, especially chefs and waiters, it could truly thrive! As it is, I can recommend it if you're not in a big hurry and want to eat locally.

This hometown restaurant is first rate in my book. Love to go there for brunch as they are delicious. We also go there as a group once a month as nobody in our group desires to go elsewhere as the food is delicious and Lola does a very efficient job since she does both the waitresses and helping in the kitchen. Any waiting time is reasonably short and well worth it. Dinners are excellent as well. Nick and Lola work very hard and are very kind people. Surroundings are neat and very clean as well. One of my favorites.

Guys the owner of this fabulous diner is my brother go eat there Nick and Lola are very good cooks you won't regret visiting. I know very well because I was working for them at the other diner they used to have in York, PA. They are very good people and friendly.

I had to pull over into this business parking lot. The owner came out swearing at me and calling me a SOB and other slurs including homophobic ones repeatedly. I explained it wasn't intentional. They weren't even open yet! I will never eat there ever. I left immediately.

Stopped for breakfast… Took around 10 minutes for the waitress to come over and ask us what we wanted to drink. (there were 3 other couples in the restaurant). We both order water with lemon and wait yet another 10-15 mins to get water that tasted like it came right out of the Juanita river. Oh and no lemon. Finally ordered our food and waited ATLEAST 30 mins for 2 omelets, home fries, and bacon. (Now only 2 other couples in the restaurant) Omelets had MAYBE 1 slice of cheese on them and the bacon looked and tasted like it sat out for hours. And on top of all that the waitress never came back to check on us after getting our food. Not to mention the waitress was very unpleasant. I would have rather eaten the left over bait in the livewell then eaten what we were served. Take you’re money to tops diner where you’ll have much better service and food. Nicks diner is a total joke.
Old fashioned QUALITY food and service. Everything is cooked to order,not microwaved and thrown on a plate. Without any doubt, some of the best food available in the area. And the prices can’t be beat for all you get to eat!

I've never been here, BUT my friends vehicle broke down on the business owners property here and created an altercation with my friend, Instead of being part of the community and helping my friend (who is also a business owner) He called the cops. That is not a great way to create future customers and uphold a good name in any community.If you can't be a decent human to your customers/ future customers, Its time to hang it up and sell your business to people who actually care about others.

Passing through from Orbisonia heading to Tyrone for Delgrosso's waterpark on a Friday morning around 9am and decided to stop for a quick breakfast with only 2 other cars in the parking lot.....well, walked in sat down with my family (2adults, 4 kids) there was one waitress/server who was very rude and only wanting to hang and talk to a local patron. After sitting 15 min the server finally brought placemats and took our drink order, then 10 min later took our food order, at this point my wife was ready to walk out remember there were only 2 other tables in the entire diner being used, I talked her down and said our orders in let's just eat and be on our way....just shy of 1 hour from our order being taken our food arrived. The food was mediocre at best. We were in the diner for 2 hours with kids anxious to get to the waterpark for what we thought was a quick stop, needless to say the next time I think let's stop and give the community some business instead of the chain fast food stores it won't be there.
