Went in after lunch hour around 2:00, it was not very busy and sat at a table fo 10 minutes while waitresses seemed to have no direction and spent time walking around the back kitchen area. Two other parties came in and afters me and sat as well. I eventually waited long enough that I just got up and left. I've eaten here prior and the food is good enough, but service has been an issue from time to time.

We went to Ligoner Days. The people in the cabin next to ours told us about this place! Loved it!

A bunch of friends went to Shanksville to see the 9/11 Memorial, and we were hungry and we found the Coal Miner's Diner. It has a rather large menu and friendly service and reasonable prices will definitely come back here another time.

Have not been to coal miner's cafe in about a year. Very dissatisfied and disappointing with not only reuben sandwiches my husband and I ordered, but, server was not friendly and could care less. I do believe this will be our last stop there

Food was gross. Waitress was horrible. Atmosphere was same as any sports bar. Very little seating.

We my sister and her husband were visiting from Vermont for the weekend, and we needed to go to Johnstown to deliver a packagein Johnstown. Since we were already in the area, we decided to visit the Flight 93 Memorial. On the way, while on Route 30 we stopped at the Coal Minerās DinerĀ for lunch. We found the restaurant to be charming and the waiter was friendly and very attentive to our needs, although he was brand new at the job. The menu was generally composed of āComfort Foodā all of which were enticing. Given the schedule we decided to keep the meal simple, Two of us decided to try the Mushrooms and Cheese Hamburger with French Fries, one ordered the special of the day, Stuffed Cabbage Soup and the 4th of the party ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger with Onion Rings. We all found the food to be well prepared an cooked not to mention tasty. In addition they offer interesting pastries. The house specialty is Gob Cakes, a soft, cake-like cookies sandwiched together with a creamy frosting filling. They are available in a variety of flavors, including classic chocolate, vanilla, and peanut butter, the Gob Cakes are a must-try. We came away knowing we will be back next time we are in Jennerstown. When you are in the area you should try the Coal Minerās Diner
