Reasonably priced food best in town
Lady in the front was rude since the we walked in the place sat down to eat with a big group told me to quiet down my daughter terrible service food looked decent will not go back
Their food is always amazing
The most depressing restaurant I ever ate at worst case the rice was like rock I order small pork fried rice 2 scoops rice for 7.00 it worst experience I ever had then again I was hungry what ever u do avoid this restaurant at all cause after asking bit more rice she smile said that's it !!!!! Smirk š on her face again avoid this place rather starve in Jim Thorpe eat here !!!!!!!!
I think this is the first bad review Iāve given to any restaurant
Mind you my experience was ordering a fried rice chicken they barely used chicken it was just fried flour. Service is ok, floors are dirty but overall it is a OK, you get for what you get. So sad I was so hungry š„² and couldnāt eat anything on my plate
We got a roast pork lo mein lunch special for 8.95$
It comes with pork fried rice and hot&sour soup.
The soup is nice, roast pork is delicious. The fried rice is way beyond what you would expect for the carb that comes with the lunch deal.
We feel the food is much more worth than the price, and would visit again if we come to the town next time.
We never leave a bad review but here goes. **Beware if you are dining in!!!!! ** The food was reasonably good, for fast food. Now, this is a fast food place and all fast food places use ingredients that arenāt always fresh. When dining in here, we were charged for LARGE portions while getting half the amount of food. I saw two people order the same amount of food for take out and get charged half the price!! This is minus the tip! So if you want to dine in here, be prepared for paying double for half the food and that too fast food!!!
I suggest take out!

First and foremost, I have done both dine-in and takeout options (the Google review allows users to select one option: dine-in, takeout, or delivery).
One of my favorite places to eat in Jim Thorpe, PA because itās cheap ?
China Garden, nestled at 61 Broadway in Jim Thorpe, is a local gem that offers delectable meals at affordable prices. From 11 AM to 3 PM, six days a week, they serve lunch specials featuring white rice or pork fried rice, accompanied by a choice of soups like egg drop, wonton, or hot and sour. If youāre planning to dine in for lunch, itās best to arrive before 11:30 AM to secure a table, as thereās no formal waiter or waitress service. Instead, your orders will be brought to your table by the friendly staff.
Please consider giving a small tip or gratuity like $1 or $2, no matter how small or large your order is. The plastic tip box is located near the counter by the cash register, or you can give the tip to the staff (donāt leave the tip on the table). You know what I mean to give a small tip or gratuity especially during lunch.
I have no personal or financial relationship with this business or its staff.

1. Food : I had ordered vegetarian chow mein and vegetarian chop suey. Both felt as the exact same in taste and look.
2. Service is too slow. It took us 45 minutes to just get a table to sit and order.
3. Atmosphere is not at all friendly, they donāt even look at you until you call them multiple times or remind them to take an order.
Not at all recommended for vegetarian.
Vegetarian options: Not at all recommended for vegetarian food.

As Asian, it hard to not eat rice or noodle one day while traveling. We always seek out the local Asian spot to fulfil our craving for some rice dishes.
This is also one of the few spot that are open on weekdays as well in this area. Most restaurant only operates Thursday - Sunday.
The owner came to greet us and chatted with us for a bit. He was nice and friendly.
The food here was decent.

I eat way too much chinese food, and everywhere I go I eat it. Even if it's clearly a bad idea. China Garden would be top notch chinese take out in a wealthy suburb 20 minutes outside NYC, let alone in some Poconos mountain town. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The parking for takeout is a complete nightmare, but it's still worth the trouble. The idea that the township doesn't help out with a 15 minute parking space or two as an aid to this fine business is shameful.

The only good thing is the working hours. The worst tasting chicken fried rice I have ever tasted.

Had General Tso Chicken, which was great. Large portion nicely spiced with fresh broccoli not over cooked and fried rice. Kids had fries which they enjoyed. Service was quick. I donāt understand the negative reviews.
So. We have visited in the past a few times... This time was different. We ordered and took a seat. We 2anted to dine in. There was a white family that was drinking in already and a Asian family that had just taken a seat. When our food was ready it was brought to us togo. The lady said " you ordered togo right?" I said "no" but she walked away with our even offering us plate or anything. She said that we could stay and eat but again she didn't even offer us plates. When I left I checked my bag and we didn't even have utensils. I came back for utensils and we ate outside. Maybe it was a misunderstanding I have no idea. But I'm no longer comfortable.
