“I’m from Maryland and I visited JT for the first time this past weekend. I can’t express enough how wonderful the entire town is. But Wild Elder was the most welcoming and cozy establishment. I highly suggest the Elderflower Cider or mulled Elderberry wine. I had their BLT and broccoli slaw and it paired perfect! I can’t wait to come back again!”

“My favorite place in Jim Thorpe! Yesterday, my friend and I stopped in for lunch and despite being super busy, we were able to be seated at the bar. The bartender was attentive and friendly, and the food and cocktails were on point! We can’t wait to come back next time we are in town.”

They were packed and offered their deck seating, a bit chilly BUT we were on a time crunch & took it, and it was peaceful & great ambiance!! “Best peel and shrimp ever - in a delicious spice and butter broth. Yummy fish and chips too. Fallan was the ideal server; interesting, invested in the conversation but not taking over. We really enjoyed her. Jim Thorpe is a sweet little strolling town with lovely shops and friendly people.”

“Curiosities Coffee and Ice-Cream is nestled inside the Douglas House marketplace.

It is a very quirky, cosy and fragrant coffee shop. The store is laden with fascinating trifles and novelties.

A wide selection of ice-cream flavors with a lot of flavored syrups and options for adding onto your coffee.

The coffee itself is very good and well brewed. I loved my large Cappuccino with white chocolate so much that I had to get a second cup.

We had the Mango, Tiramisu, Fudge brownie cookie dough ice-cream and the Vanilla Shake and none of them was a letdown or loved any less than the other!”

“We were in Jim Thorpe, a magical town, with many bars and restaurants. We walked in to enjoy some fabulous authentic chinese food. Fantastic. Joy, was very friendly and sweet. The food was excellent. We are from New York amd often eat in china town in both New York and Philadelphia. The fireplace was such a warm inviting touch as we ate. We did order food to take back to the air B&B with us. You do not need any soy sauce or duck or anything. The taste of the food was excellent. We ordered a lot for 2 people, however, it was so nice to enjoy our wine that we brought in and just relax. We were not rushed at all. It was a wonderful end to our weekend.
