“Just WOW! The atmosphere is good. The food is just amazing. The Tomahawk Chop is delicious. The balsamic reduction a perfect combination. And the deserts: wonderful.! (Try the Brownie with Ice Cream or Apple Cobbler with Ice Cream. Oh heck, get both!) We went last Saturday, (it was highly recommended by a friend) And I want to go back this coming Friday.”

“We call this diner the 'John Deere' diner because of it's prolific green and yellow decor. It is a cozy, friendly place with a good menu and great service. My husband and I had two meals here recently, I had breakfast and lunch. He has breakfast twice. My burger was good, but I was a little disappointed with canned mushrooms on iit, and they use oil on the flat top, not a butter and oil blend - and the difference can be tasted. The sweet potato fries were delicious and crisp! Breakfast for me was sausage gravy over biscuits, with a side of home fries well done with onions - a standard dining out breakfast for me, and again, the ONLY lack was the home fries - once again, left a little flat because they only use oil on their cooktop. I almost considered butter on the side to help liven them up, but instead went slightly heavy handed on the salt which helped the onions immensely.
The prices are also very good - my husband I eating for around $20, and being stuffed to the gills and not leaving hungry.”

“Started to become a regular at the Boatyard, avoided for along time because of a misrepresentation of the establishment from years past that just no longer should be considered. Let’s start with the staff and owners very professional, fun and caring they make you feel welcomed anytime you walk in. Honestly you can tell the staff are like family and you just feel like you’re apart of it when you’re here. The food portions and pricing is great not many places in the area can you get a portion where you feel you got your money worth the fact the pricing isn’t tremendous makes it more attractive. The quality of the food is great rotating specials lets you try new things which are always cooked right. You are missing out not trying the boatyard at least once.”

“2026!!! Spring is almost here, and Rita's is back!!! Super friendly service, always friendly counter service during the day. She has pleasant conversation , generously offers samples and has suggestions for ordering. Delicious ice, custard and add-ins selection. Great location and parking, limited outdoor seating. Very clean counter and serving area with several clean trashcans. We got a peanut butter mudslide and shamrock blendini with chocolate custard and Oreos. Will be returning, often.”

“I really love this place however I called ahead at 6pm to place my order. They checked and said they had 6 pepperoni knots for my order and it would be ready in 35 minutes. I went to pick up giving them extra time and still had to wait a 1/2 hour for my order. Then when I checked my order they only gave me 4 pepperoni knots, and shoved in two regular garlic knots. Very disappointing to my k family and kids.”

“Hey! A local business could use a little love so I'm sharing today. Verona's on 4th and Mahoning in Lehighton got a recent rebrand and is worth checking out. As a vegetarian, Josh really appreciates the rice/bean/veggie bowls and the California omelette. I grabbed a bowl for lunch yesterday for $11 that I enjoyed much more than Chipotle fo sho. Check them out!”

“Had some complaints and they offered to make it right and the food was good this time and they def changing their oil now everything was awesome I even enjoyed the motts sticks in the fresh oil very impressed on the quality of food improvement”

“The Beacon is struggling to maintain adequate staffing but that has only impacted slightly the time from order to service. Our experience has always been excellent Diner selections with friendly, competent service. It is never microwaved frozen goods from US Foods or Sisco. Much of the menu is homemade comfort food like pork with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes/ gravy. All of the items are better than competitively priced. I used to be a chef and though 71 years old, I wish I could help when I see their 'Cook Wanted' sign but I live 15 miles away and can only help by dining there a couple times per week. Best of luck to these dear people.”
