“Started to become a regular at the Boatyard, avoided for along time because of a misrepresentation of the establishment from years past that just no longer should be considered. Let’s start with the staff and owners very professional, fun and caring they make you feel welcomed anytime you walk in. Honestly you can tell the staff are like family and you just feel like you’re apart of it when you’re here. The food portions and pricing is great not many places in the area can you get a portion where you feel you got your money worth the fact the pricing isn’t tremendous makes it more attractive. The quality of the food is great rotating specials lets you try new things which are always cooked right. You are missing out not trying the boatyard at least once.“

“The Beacon is struggling to maintain adequate staffing but that has only impacted slightly the time from order to service. Our experience has always been excellent Diner selections with friendly, competent service. It is never microwaved frozen goods from US Foods or Sisco. Much of the menu is homemade comfort food like pork with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes/ gravy. All of the items are better than competitively priced. I used to be a chef and though 71 years old, I wish I could help when I see their 'Cook Wanted' sign but I live 15 miles away and can only help by dining there a couple times per week. Best of luck to these dear people.“

“Fireside Grille catered my daughter’s graduation party. I had been to an event that they catered and loved the food so much that I had to use them when it came time for my party. The chicken fingers and Mac n cheese were the standouts. The chicken was tender and juicy and fried perfectly. The Mac n cheese was next level. Truly exceptional…stayed creamy and the macaroni noodles didn’t turn to mush. The flavor was amazing and everyone there asked where the food came from. The quality and quantity and the perfect price point with attention to detail and everything ready on time. Who could ask for anything more. I highly recommend!“

“Out of all the eateries in the greater Slatington area, SMT has got to be the highest of my recommendations. the place is absolutely fantastic, in both food and service. Not only is it a rustic bar complete with trivia nights and a pool table, but everything is delicious and always served with the highest priority of the customer's requests. The service is perfect, as well. always friendly and accommodating. they all periodically check up on tables, they're known to stop for a quick chat without ignoring their other patrons, and they're completely genuine. For those going, I recommend asking for Kerri. I've had several servers over my visits, all are great, but Kerri has simply been the best. It's at a point where I dont even have to order because she knows exactly what im getting. It's clear she puts her customers first, and it shows. overall, an excellent establishment.“

It’s a very friendly atmosphere, the staff is always courteous, (a real rarity today) and is very inexpensive for a family. It’s always the bright spot on our trips to Palmerton! 5-Stars“

“SO GOOD!! Staff was the sweetest! Food was plenty & incredible with a large menu!! They were packed and offered their deck seating, a bit chilly BUT we were on a time crunch & took it, and it was peaceful & great ambiance!! The only complaint was it took a little longer than expected for a burger & sandwich, but was worth it.“
