“It’s my first time here. The place is nice, with unique decorations unlike a typical bar. The beer menu is displayed on the wall, and the cocktail menu is on paper. It’s small but cool. You’ll need to find street parking nearby. A great spot to grab a beer and try different flavors!“

“Started to become a regular at the Boatyard, avoided for along time because of a misrepresentation of the establishment from years past that just no longer should be considered. Let’s start with the staff and owners very professional, fun and caring they make you feel welcomed anytime you walk in. Honestly you can tell the staff are like family and you just feel like you’re apart of it when you’re here. The food portions and pricing is great not many places in the area can you get a portion where you feel you got your money worth the fact the pricing isn’t tremendous makes it more attractive. The quality of the food is great rotating specials lets you try new things which are always cooked right. You are missing out not trying the boatyard at least once.“

“We found the 80s bar while visiting from out of town for a softball tournament and decided to stop in. We had the best experience! The atmosphere was so fun, the food was great, and the service was top tier. Rob S was our waiter tonight and he was so fantastic, and the bartender (I didn’t get her name) was so sweet and wonderful as well. They treated our family wonderfully and we can’t wait to stop back in next time!“

“I don't know of a spectacular way to say thank you for all the courtesy and kindnesses given to me as I was dining/celebrating with my son on his (over 21st. birthday) so from the bottom of my heart I say (once again) thank you---------for everything, Glen & Rose! The service, preparation, care of the order, and, up to and including the delivery of our food make me value this West Penn Diner experience as worthwhile and I feel appreciated as a customer. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy and the diner is clean. It is also really worth noting that your omelettes are just the very best! There is nothing to add except another order to them. All the ingredients that are included on the plate equal perfection. I feel confident to write that I bet all the customers feel that with all of these orders of perfection being carried out from the kitchen I believe you have a deadly combination of satisfied, happy and grateful customers. “My sister n law and I had just finished the bike train excursion and were famished. We stopped into this place because it was the first restaurant that we came to. Boy was i floored when I asked if they could accommodate a gluten free diet and they said they had a dedicated kitchen!! I had to ask again because I could not believe this! The food was amazing. I would recommend this place 100% to everyone and not just for food sensitive folks! Thank you so much for this thoughtful place!“

“First of all i never gave a review to any place but i had to for here. I had never been here before so first timer and my waitress Krystal was the best. Not only accommodating to what i wanted but also gave me pointers of things to see and do in the area. I will be back and hopefully she will be the person serving me again“

“We ate dinner in the cafe and had a wonderful meal. Our appetizer was the chips with gorgonzola cheese, tomatoes, arugula and balsamic glaze. Wow! I had the chicken, artichoke, pesto, penne and my husband had the forbidden rice, shrimp and bok choy dish. Both were absolutely amazing. Compliments to the chef. Our waitress was great! We live 45 minutes away but that won't stop us from returning for another fabulous meal.“

“The food was superb.
The clan chowder had a lot of clams in it. I do wish it had arrived before the meal - you have to decide which you would rather eat hot.
I was told by one member of our party that the Ruben sandwich was one of the best they had eaten for quite a while.
The server was attentive and personable, taking time to chat with us a bit.“

“Last night was our first time at Marion Hose Bar and it was a wonderful experience! Our waiter Robert was phenomenal, he went above and beyond. The food was delicious, the drinks even better ;) 100% recommend!“

“Stopped in for a late lunch. We ate in the outdoor bar area because the dining area had a 20 minute wait. Only the outdoor area was open.
The bar area offered the full menu. The area was clean and although the bar area was very busy the bartender was excellent. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name. She took our order quickly and the food was delivered promptly and as ordered.
We had the wedge salad, the open faced turkey sandwich and the chicken parm sandwich. Everything was tasty but the chicken parm sandwich was a bit dry. Maybe order extra sauce on the side.
I highly recommend Molly Maguire's for a nice meal at a decent price.“

“The Beacon is struggling to maintain adequate staffing but that has only impacted slightly the time from order to service. Our experience has always been excellent Diner selections with friendly, competent service. It is never microwaved frozen goods from US Foods or Sisco. Much of the menu is homemade comfort food like pork with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes/ gravy. All of the items are better than competitively priced. I used to be a chef and though 71 years old, I wish I could help when I see their 'Cook Wanted' sign but I live 15 miles away and can only help by dining there a couple times per week. Best of luck to these dear people.“
