“I've grown up in Weissport and still live in Franklin but have never been in this place. That is until the other day. The food was fantastic, the customers and employees were great. It was just a homey welcoming feeling. I will definitely be stopping in more often.”

“We were in Jim Thorpe and for some reason all the ice cream places close at 7 pm which unless you're eating super early and super fast means they are closed by the time you are out of dinner. So I jumped online and found this place. A little drive and here we were at this cute place. Loved my shake and loved my chocolate milk I brought home to drink a few days later, inside was just adorable. The place to come if you want dessert in the area! Service was good.”

“I give the food 4 stars because I always test each Chinese restaurant for their General Tso’s chicken dish. If the chicken is not crispy, then the sauce and the chicken should’ve been presented separately even if it’s takeout. No one in PA has survived that test yet. Also, there should be a tang from the vinegar that stands out and again no one in PA has reached that level.However, based on the taste and experience of the local residence, this is a five star to them. So I see both sides. However, if you are well traveled, this is a three star restaurant regarding their food.Parking: They are usually parking spots to park at, but may have to park further down the street during peak hours.”

“I turned to The Buttered Crumb for my daughters’ sweet sixteen birthday cake and cupcakes and as promised they did not disappoint. The flavors of all the cupcakes and cake were absolutely delicious and perfect, as I knew they would be! “First time eating here with a table 8 of us. Food came out all about the same time which was nice. Place was pretty crowded however its wasn't that loud so you could have a conversation. This isn't a super fancy place but its not a hole in the wall either. Overall the food was really good from the burgers to the shrimp and grits to the salmon all good. The price seemed reasonable to the portions. Making reservations again for a table of 6 can't wait. Looking forward to it will update review when were done.”

“My wife and I stopped in for late lunch. The menu is very interesting- great variety. My wife ordered the kim chi fried rice and I ordered the pork pastrami sandwich. For an appetizer, we ordered the 1-lb chicken wings (garlic parmesan). The kim chi had a nice kick but still very tasty. My pork pastrami was even better than a regular pastrami- pork was lean, tender and very flavorful. The wings were huge and very juicy and tasty. We had enough for leftovers! Service was excellent. Our server was attentive and regularly checked on us. I'm so glad we were able to stop in. We walked to try it 2 years ago when we were here but it was packed. Well worth the stop!”

“Absolutely adorable bakery, and the food was delicious. My hard-to-please husband was especially happy with his breakfast crepe. Said it had "the correct balance." Drinks were also very good. The very kind lady who helped us was extremely helpful and a lovely conversationalist. We took her recommendation to check out the pickle shop, too. ;)Dietary restrictions: They do offer gluten free crepes, made fresh to order! Someone asked about them while we were there.”

Our timing was perfect and we were sat immediately on a weekend for our party of 6. The table was cool—made out of a whiskey barrel and a piece of glass on top. The inside is tight but cozy.Service (4/5): The place was bustling so our corner table was often neglected. They were doing their best! The staff was friendly and patient the whole time.Food:Starters: A bowl of bread and butter. Entrees also come with a salad and dressing of your choice. The salad is packed with mixed greens, peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers!Buffalo Shrimp (5/5): I don’t even eat shrimp and it’s delicious! Whatever breading they use is packed with flavor and has a nice crunch to each biteBuffalo Wings (4/5): Ask for the wings with mild sauce and drizzled with parmesan sauce. There’s a light breading around the wing that gives it a nice crunch.Stuffed Chicken with Crab à la Vodka (4/5): The chicken was moist and filled completely of crab meat! The sauce was penne à la vodka was good but lacked some saltiness and flavoring. I had to dump a decent amount of salt and red peppers to it.”

We actually prefer this one and we have one in town.The service has been good.My youngest daughter was a little uncomfortable with a male worker wearing acrylic nails and acting like a girl. That isn't something I think should be forced on kids. But all in all he was nice.”

“Passing by the town of Slatington, we decided to stop and grab breakfast. We sat at the breakfast bar. We got waited on very quickly. She was very nice. I ordered creamed chip beef. My Husband had a meat lovers omelet. The food came out quickly. It was hot and tasted good. They both came with home fries which were very good also. The proce was fair. The only thing I can say negative is that the bread was paper thin.”

“Stopped in this brewery while in the Lake Harmony / Jim Thorpe area. Great location and big space for lots of patrons. We ordered: - McGowan's Cream Ale - Vienna Lager - Dry Irish Stout - switchback Hazy IPA All were delicious. The bartenders were very attentive too. They did not have flights, which would have allowed us to try more beers, but they had options for sizes of beers. Worth stopping in for a beer or two, if in the area.”

“Found this place while looking for a diner to have breakfast. I am 64 and this was the best breakfast we have had dining out. I had the breakfast meat omelet. Took up the whole plate and the flavor was fantastic. My wife had the vegetable omelet. Again huge and full of peppers, onion, mushrooms and tomato. Add to this the best homefries I have had in a diner in a long long time. Needless to say we will be making this a regular stop.”
