“I’m from Maryland and I visited JT for the first time this past weekend. I can’t express enough how wonderful the entire town is. But Wild Elder was the most welcoming and cozy establishment. I highly suggest the Elderflower Cider or mulled Elderberry wine. I had their BLT and broccoli slaw and it paired perfect! I can’t wait to come back again!“

“Lovely shop, immaculate, cozy & great customer service! The donuts were absolutely delicious, plump & well filled! We ordered 6 & you get a free breakfast sandwich when ordering 6 , how cool is that. Pistachio Cheesecake topped with pink icing, not to sweet , Pistachios on top & a fabulous cheesecake pistachio filling, My favorite , It was so big , could only eat half! My daughter got the Boston creme, it was so creamy & delicious. Then we order the Pistachio Lattes , so good Highly recommend“

“My boyfriend & I stopped by today & we had an amazing experience. We were visiting from out of town & Abby the bartender was so cool. We were introduced to the orange cosmopolitan that was delicious! Then she made me a hot apple cider with fireball with a cinnamon stick! It was so good... Just what I needed to warm up ... Great place! Great atmosphere!!“

“Best peel and shrimp ever - in a delicious spice and butter broth. Yummy fish and chips too. Fallan was the ideal server; interesting, invested in the conversation but not taking over. We really enjoyed her. Jim Thorpe is a sweet little strolling town with lovely shops and friendly people.“

“Curiosities Coffee and Ice-Cream is nestled inside the Douglas House marketplace.
It is a very quirky, cosy and fragrant coffee shop. The store is laden with fascinating trifles and novelties.
A wide selection of ice-cream flavors with a lot of flavored syrups and options for adding onto your coffee.
The coffee itself is very good and well brewed. I loved my large Cappuccino with white chocolate so much that I had to get a second cup.
We had the Mango, Tiramisu, Fudge brownie cookie dough ice-cream and the Vanilla Shake and none of them was a letdown or loved any less than the other!“

“I recently visited the town of Jim Thorpe with a good friend of mine. It happened to be my birthday so we stopped by Woods Ice Cream. They got me a peanut butter sundae. I've gotta say it's prob one of the best and most delicious sundae's I've ever had in my life. And I'm not even exaggerating. Typing this out just made me remember the taste and my mouth just watered lol. And I can't forget to mention the service was great as well. I highly recommend stopping by this cute little town and getting yourself some ice cream from there.“

“Pizza was some of the best I've ever had. But too listen to the waitress suck snot and see her cough all over everything she faced make it a little hard to really enjoy it. Fix this. She was very polite, but the snot my gosh. Blow your nose for gosh sakes. Plenty of napkins around. Kudos for the guys in the back taking in the delivery. Great job.“

“I really enjoyed this cute little Harry Potter / spooky themed coffee shop! I got one of their specialty lattes, the mandrake maple latte, iced with oatmilk. They also had two different types of savory vegan scones, cheddar jalapeño or pesto mozzarella! I snagged a vegan cookie at the register to take to-go and eat on my drive back home from the Jim Thorpe area. I visited around Halloween time so this was the perfect fun and festive way to celebrate. Updated from previous review on 2026-08-02“

“It’s my first time here. The place is nice, with unique decorations unlike a typical bar. The beer menu is displayed on the wall, and the cocktail menu is on paper. It’s small but cool. You’ll need to find street parking nearby. A great spot to grab a beer and try different flavors!“
