“This was a cute shop of candy and some random memorabilia. They had some vintage candies that you just don't see everywhere, and they also have the old school candy sticks that you can mix and match flavors for under $1. They also serve novelty ice creams and slushies I believe. The store is tight. I felt a little cramped waiting for my kids to decide. So I sent my husband and son out once he did so I could pay with my daughter. I wished it weren't so cramped as I would have liked to peruse a little longer but I just wanted to breathe lol.“
“Nice little coffee and ice cream shop right on the main street..quiet little spot to sit and enjoy some treats with your coffee or hot chocolate. The hot chocolate with fresh whipped cream is what I ordered...definitely recommend a layover here if you're spending a day walking around Jim Thorpe!“
“Kids wanted ice cream and we were here so we stopped. Ordering was a little confusing. There was no semblance of a line. We finally saw chalk writing on the ground that said "form line here". So we did and found that we were next. Then a lot of people who had been there before us were annoyed because they did not form line there. So then a line formed there and all was well. The kids just got scoops with sprinkles but I was amazed at the variety of the soft serve flavors. I wasn't hungry or I would have tried something. The prices were reasonable and there are plenty of areas around to have a seat and enjoy the ice cream.“
“Always wonderful ice cream! We actually prefer this one and we have one in town. The service has been good.My youngest daughter was a little uncomfortable with a male worker wearing acrylic nails and acting like a girl. That isn't something I think should be forced on kids. But all in all he was nice.“
“There are a lot of options here, and it’s open really late. Until 10pm every night. The custard was very good, and the Italian ice is very refreshing. The line was SO long for no reason but also went by super quick. The reason for 4 stars is because the customer service is not exactly the best. I know it’s just a Rita’s, but I’ve also never been here and it was so confusing with all their options (bc they have a bunch of choices that are so similar to each other) and the woman taking our order didn’t really seem to care much to explain.“
“We were in Jim Thorpe and for some reason all the ice cream places close at 7 pm which unless you're eating super early and super fast means they are closed by the time you are out of dinner. So I jumped online and found this place. A little drive and here we were at this cute place. Loved my shake and loved my chocolate milk I brought home to drink a few days later, inside was just adorable. The place to come if you want dessert in the area! Service was good.“
“Craving something savory and sweet then Claude's is the place to go. Hotdogs and fries in one side and ice cream on another. Great selection of ice cream flavors. Not your ordinary plain vanilla/chocolate, not that there's anything wrong with that. I do love variety and one of a kind concoctions and Claude did not disappoint. Also inside and outside seating available. Perfect for a nice summer day. Only issue is the long line with both, seemed a bit understaffed. They tried their best though. Definitely going to be my go to spot for ice cream when I'm in the area.“
“Fast, friendly service. Great staff, nice place to take the kids, a few outdoor tables and benches available. The ONLY drawback to visiting the Rita's is that the parking lot is WAYYY TOO SMALL and more often than not a cluster of cars tends to accumulate from people trying to pull into ghe parking lot ut have to wait because payrons leaving and pulling out of parking spaces create blockages preventing people from being able to turn off the road and into fhe lot. Making a left out of the lot during heavy traffic times can also be challenging when youre trying to leave, or getting v:÷“
“Stopped here on a whim and was blown away by the delicious treats. My husband, my dog, and I all enjoyed the ice cream at this spot. My husband ordered a chocolate lovers only cone with 2 scoops - seriously increible. Huge chunks of chocolate and very rich. The cone was also very tasty. I ordered an Artic Breeze with pretzels and caramel. This was equally as good. It was kinda like a blizzard. The pretzels were not soggy and it I will be dreaming of this treat for a long time. We also ordered the doggie sundae which was so freaking cute! It was topped with a milk bone. Highly recommend stopping here. We were staying at Hickory Run state park and it was ~25 minutes away.“
