We did a murder mystery weekend. We stayed in a second floor suite. Just beautiful! Spacious and very nice. Water was hot for the shower. The murder mystery was top notch and a lot of fun. Parking is tight . Bring small vehicle if possible. Breakfast was good but nothing special. The dinner was also good but just average. A better breakfast would have made the weekend top notch. This was the only thing that was lacking. I do recommend this mansion to stay at. A great town, Jim Thorpe is just a short walk away!

Was a super pleasurable experience. Words cannot express my gratitude to the staff. They made us feel right at home. While we came to Jim Thorpe for the train ride, which was nice, the stay at the mansion became the highlight of our trip. God-willing, we plan to make this an annual tradition now. May we see you all again next year.

Along the the Asa Packer mansion next door, this mansion is also an awesome site, and well worth the visit, because it gives you a peak into a much different time.

What a great place! It was a trip back through time to sit in this wonderful mansion and have a drink and some delicious food! We are going back for the murder mystery night event soon! It sounds like it's going to be a great dinner and whodunit type of night! Thank you to everyone that was there and served us, you were all so nice and we can't wait to come back!Nearby activities: In the quaint town of Jim Thorpe, where there are a lot of activities to do such as ride the train up through the mountains, ride your bike on a wonderful Trail. Or just walk around town and enjoy the shopping- Jim Thorpe is a wonderful place to visit!Food & drinks: Craft beers and a wonderful menu at reasonable prices.Noteworthy details: This is a wonderful old mansion which makes your stay there feel very luxurious

We had a fantastic weekend. Mattie, Rachel and Vittorio were fantastic hosts. The other guests were all friendly. We were on the third floor and yes, it is a climb but well worth it.The murder mystery was tremendous fun. That included a buffet dinner. Breakfast on the balcony was relaxing. They have a bar with great drinks at reasonable prices. The rooms and mansion were immaculate. We rented 2 rooms. Both had a private bath. The location of the Harry Packer Mansion puts you in walking distance of most attractions/shops/dining. As I understand it there is only one Uber driver in the area. The town of Jim Thorpe is built on a steep hill so be prepared for some good walking.Pro Tip - The alarm clocks in our rooms had 4 USB charging ports. Nice touch.

We traveled to the Harry Packer mansion to stay upon learning that the mansion was inspiration for the architecture on the Haunted Mansion ride in Disney World. We expected to have a nice time and relax for a bit in a historic area full of charm in the mountains. What we didn't expect was just how much of a wonderful weekend this would prove to be. My husband and I selected to stay in the Harry Packer suite, which boasted a clean room and some interesting historic/original features in the room. I wouldn't say this room was modernized much beyond necessity, which provided to the charm and experience we sought. The service provided by the staff was next level, everyone that we met on staff was friendly, engaging and helpful. They were prompt with requests, welcoming and were a pleasure to interact with.We elected to visit the mansion on a weekend they were hosting a Murder Mystery Party. We were there on a weekend to solve what had happened to Harry Packer, and I do declare, I believe we solved this caper with a great group of guests. The cast were professional actors/entertainers who brought immersion and delight to the guests as we all worked together to solve the mystery. After the dinner, we stayed in the common areas chatting and laughing with other guests, it was an incredible time to share in a gorgeous historic setting.Sunday Morning brought our visit to an end, as we packed our room and wandered the open areas of the mansion to see the architecture and headed down to breakfast. We sat on the front porch and listened to the church bells ring off in the distance and enjoyed our coffee, orange juice and apple/cinnamon pancakes.Thank you Harry Packer Mansion, we look forward to returning in the future!

I loved staying here! We stayed in Gussie's Room and were very comfortable.I loved sitting on the verandah. It was so peaceful. The perfect place to enjoy breakfast. The staff were incredible! Everyone at the HP Mansion was friendly and accommodating. I truly felt welcomed there.Just be aware that the walk up the hill at the end of a long day can be grueling. We were there on a particularly hot and humid weekend so that hill definitely heard some colorful language!

An easy 5 star rating! The mansion is absolutely gorgeous, in great condition and is CLEAN. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a Keurig right outside in the hallway. The staff was friendly, attentive, and so helpful. We will definitely be back!Walkability: It sits on top of a massive hill and the parking lot is not easy to maneuver a car in and out of, so just be prepared to do some walking!
